Guide was very knowledgable about Prague history. Although told of some Peague mystery murder stories not really a ghost walk and not scary so probably need to relabel tour. Knew this from previous reviews so not expecting ghost/scary walk. Put on your walking shoes as you will cover a lot of ground. Totally worth the night tour to see beautiful Prague by night.
The meeting spot was easy to find and the guide was waiting. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Prague and its local lore. If you are considering doing this tour take it at the beginning of your stay to help orient you with the city and to help you choose site seeing priorities.
This is a great tour, and our guide was fantastic. It was just my wife and I that night, so it was basically a private walking tour of the city. Many macabre stories, and Zola was able to bring life to the history of the city, things we hadn't heard about in much detail. Would recommend it more for people with an interest in history rather than those looking to be scared.
First of all i should regret about management of tour provider. On planned date i've been at pick-up point 20 minutes in advance. At pick-up time nobody has arrived. There was no guide. There were two more spanish woman booked the same tour in spanish via another agent but with the same operator. They told that there was second failed attempt to take this activity.
After some time i called to operator office and manager told me that i was late and group had been departured. He rescheduled tour for me on august, 11.
And now about tour. Our guide Alice was awesome. She guided us across city districts with a lot of stories, legends and facts.
An insight into to the 'darker side' of Prague. A good coverage of the old town and Jewish area with a reasonable amount of walking, but certainly not a difficult walk - more like a well timed wander with dialogue.
Great tour. Loved the tour guide, very informative. We covered a great deal of the city. Not quite as "ghost-story" centered as i was expecting, but good tour.
Peter, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and loves Prague. He took us to actual places where real legends happened listed in the book "77 Legends of Prague" in English. We bought the book at the bookstore he recommended on Wenceslaus (sp) Square. We got a completely different perspective of Prague at night. it wasn't scary - our 10 year old daughter loved hearing the historical stories. We saw the John Lennon wall and talked about recent history in Prague with Peter. Peter was great!!!! Thanks!
Highly recomended, more of an historic tour but gives you a very good overview of Prague. Lots of walking, but awesome!
What a great way to start my trip in Prague. I got to Prague late in the afternoon, jet lagged and tired. I took and nap and then went on this tour. Not really a "Ghost" tour, more of a "Legends" tour. But, also a great way to get your bearings for the rest of your stay in Prague. My guide was very informative. There were 3 of us on the tour, so it was very personal. We saw Old Town, the Jewish Quarter and the Charles Bridge. We were supposed to walk across the bridge and see part of Lesser Town, but I was tired and the couple wanted to have dinner. So be stopped at the Charles Bridge. My guide even walked me to the metro and road part of the way back to the hotel with me. If you are expecting ghosts and ghoulies, this is not the trip for you. But, if you want to have a better understanding of the layout of Prague and some of it's history, sign up now!
Our tour guide was great! He answered any questions we had in addition to lots of neat stories and legends associated with Prague. The tour took us through a large portion of the city, which was great! The trickiest part was finding the meeting spot, but we realized it was a booth/stand in front of the street number on the building. Great tour! I would definitely recommend doing this tour! You'll enjoy seeing the city at night, as well as learning about the human experiences of centuries ago. :)
Learnt interesting facts about Prague and actually saw a part of Prague that most tourists dont see.
An excellent trip around Prague in the evening. Not too many ghost stories, but the tour itself actually didn't need it
More of a "legend and architecture" tour than ghost tour, but our guide was very knowledgable, personable, and gave us a great introduction to the city.
We would have enjoyed this more if we had not taken a walking tour earlier that day as much of the information was repeated. We were the only people on the tour so an excellent opportunity to ask questions. Make sure you allow plenty of time to find the meeting point as it gets a bit dark in the streets and maps are difficult to read.
This was a nice tour. Really more about the legends and old stories and not really "ghosts" but was full of great stories and history of the city.
Our guide (Eva/Eve?) was lovely but had a very monotone, quiet voice so it was hard to follow what she was saying. I heard there's a free walking tour available in the city (not sure with which tour operator - may require a search) that would probably have been the same as this. It's not really a ghost tour... it's more like a night-time history lesson with a couple of legends thrown in. Don't get me wrong, the legends we did hear about were pretty cool but I don't think it was enough to call this a "ghost tour". We left feeling like we could have probably heard the same information on the free tour.
We started 20 minutes late waiting for people who never showed. Our guide was not very enthusiastic and was not a good story teller, never even introduced herself. Our tour was not 3 hours, it was only 1 hour and 40 minutes. Waste of time, much better tour companies in prague.
Our guide appeared to be very nervous and not very talkative. Very long walk and not much of a ghost tour. Better tours out there
Our tour guide turned our walking tour into a tour where, for 2 hours (not 3-- though we were glad to be done at hour 2), we drove around in her car and she vaguely pointed things out. She marched us into the Intercontinetnal hotel, past disapproving staff, up to the top floor, through the fancy restaurant and onto an outdoor terrace. Nice views, but clearly not someplace we were supposed to be-- nor anything related to a ghost tour. I've been on ghost tours before and they're fun and silly. I would have been happier not spending any money or time on this.
This tour was the most frightening I have been on but for all the wrong reasons. We were met by a lady at the designated place who then told us we would have to drive to some of the destinations due to distance. This was our first visit so we were none the wiser. she proceeded to ask us if we had seen any ghosts and then drove us to a town hall where she told us one ghost story then showed us a book and cracked jokes about barack Obama and bill gates???. She drove us to the intercontinental hotel and tried to take us to the top floor to look at the view. we were refused by staff and this was embarrassing. she then tried to load her car with an abandoned dirty old chair. she drove us to another building and told us lots about architecture but no ghost stories. she swore at drivers who beeped her for stopping in the middle of the road. we drove around for 1hr 30 mins being told about the period of buildings but no ghost stories. we cut the trip short at the old town square as she saw a devil statue in the window and made a strange comment about it having spots. It was the worst and weirdest trip I have ever been on and was definitely not a ghost tour. It was a nightmare and waste of money though
