We were very glad we had oraginsed this tour. This isn't my first time in Prague and I knew my way around and had done a great deal of reading about the city's history and politics. Nevertheless the experience of being guided by a Czech national and Prague resident was incomparable.
Our guide was Honza who took time to find out what our interests were and tailored the tour accordingly. His English was excellent and we felt we got an insight into the city which met our needs rather than a one size fits all tourist overview. I'd thoroughly recommend this tour and Honza. We were walking around at the centre of the tourist areas and yet we were exploring all sorts of little lanes and quiet squares that I don't think we would have found without him. Fascinating.

Excellent tour, our guide did a super job of taking us to places we would have missed.
This tour was an excellent introduction to the city of Prague that takes you
beyond the typical sites of old. Hzona was an excellent, thoroughly knowledgeable guide - answering all of our many questions and interests in the Czech culture! He took us to areas beyond the open squares and through passages and hidden gardens all the while telling us about Czech history from the Slav settlement to present day. Highly recommend for those wanting to understand local culture. My husband and I were the only people on this tour.
Our guide David was excellent. This tour was great and we would recommend it to everybody.
Awesome tour with John Hozan! He was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Prague and all the different secret hidden places he took us to. He answered all our questions though we rarely had any as all of his explanations were excellent. It was just my husband and I on the tour and it was worth every dollar spent, which actually was a bargain. We highly recommend this tour!!!
Fabulous. We learned so much that we could never have known independently.
An excellent tour! Our guide, Dagmar, was incredible. She extended our allotted time to make sure we saw as many "hidden" places/treasures as possible.
Michael was a very good guide, he was on time and very informative. He matched the tour to our interests and we saw hidden parts of the centre of Prague that we never expected to be there!! All together a very worth while morning.
We took this tour on our 3rd day in Prague and it was well worth it. Our guide took us to places and pointed out details that we would not have known. This beautiful city felt even more rich with the stories and facts that go hand in hand with the history.
Vaslov was thorough, thoughtful, and passionate about his city.
Michael was an excellent guide who listened to our needs. Very knowledgable and good communicator.
LOVED this tour! My brother and I went to 8 different cities in Europe and took many tours and this was by far the best one. We really learned about the history of the city, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. I would recommend doing the prague in one day, or something of that sort before doing this tour though. With this tour, you really get to see some amazing places that you would never see on other tours, and you go where actual locals would go.
great guide, super knowledgeable. spoke good English and showed us a lot of off the beaten path spots
This was a good walking tour after doing the full day tour of Prague. The guide new a lot of back streets and short cuts that a tourist would never know to find. He also pointed out some architecture within the malls that you wont see on any other tour. Enjoyed this tour and the guide was very good.
The young man that took us on this tour was knowledgeable. We saw many interesting places.
A great way to see a different side of Prague. Our tour guide was informative, knowledgeable and interesting. We really got to understand more about the Czech culture, and see sights that we would never have known were there.
Good knowledge of history and certainly shown different areas of prague that he normal tourist probably wouldn't find. Our guide was good but felt a little rushed.
Our guide was very nice but his English was not that good and it seemed he was struggling, and we in turn had to guess at what he was trying to say. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating but perhaps stayed on the subject too long. We had already visited some of the places he had on his list to show us which threw him off a bit. He needs to better articulate his thoughts as we know he had the knowledge and stories to tell us, but fell short due to the language issue. It is hard to write anything negative because he was such a likeable person.
We started out by walking to a corner and standing there while he talked for 20 minutes. So, while the tour was somewhat interesting and we did see some places we did not see on the mainstream city tour, some of the hidden passageways were shortcuts through shopping malls. We did see some beautiful gardens of a church and learn some interesting facts, though. So, all that being said, I would have expected more "hidden" gems for the price. If the price were lower, I would have given a higher rating.
Peter, my tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. But the tour was not what I expected and it was run by another company, Absolute Walking Tours...not by your company. Hidden Prague is misleading...it should be billed as lesser known tourist places!! And I feel I overpaid for something I could have gotten here for free!!
