What You Can Expect
Visit a historical beer cellar as your guide shares more fun facts about the history of Czech beer, its role in the nation’s culture and the artisanal breweries that are producing delicious new and distinctive brews.
As you lift the lid on all things related to Czech beer, taste some locally favored craft beers and get the lowdown on Czech cuisine. Famously hearty and comforting, Czech food is some of Europe’s most robust, and makes a great companion to the country’s golden lagers and velvety stouts.
Continue to a nearby microbrewery and gastropub, and try samples of the award-winning lagers produced by one of the Czech Republic’s most acclaimed brewers. Note the excellent quality and freshness of the lagers as you sip, and relax into the sociable atmosphere.
Then, dig into a generous platter of traditional Czech food, made by the gastropub’s well-known local chef. There’s plenty to enjoy, so don’t hold back!
Your tour concludes at the pub, where you’re free to stay on independently or head out to continue your explorations of Prague’s beers and foods.
Again we had Honza as oout tour guide and we really had a blast with him the second time around. Got to try some real interesting beers and food.
I had a wonderful experience on this tour! The guide was super fun, kind, and knowledgeable about the city. The small group atmosphere was so great and fun. I highly recommend this tour!
Nice small group- lots of great beer and food!
Perfect evening for my first night in Prague.
Our Guide was excellent and as there was only 4 people on the this night it felt like a group of friends going out for drink and food rather than a tour.
We enjoyed this tour very much. Our guide took us to several beer pubs that the locals frequent. It was a fun knowledge filled evening and a great way to get a glimpse of the city of Prague.
Well to tell you the truth, I am not a big beer drinker. However, I'm game for most things and tried a lot of different beers-some more unusual than others (one smelled and tasted like smoke). I did enjoy visiting the 3 pubs and had a lovely time. Our tour guide was very nice. We had a good time and I would recommend this trip to anyone.
Initially made reservations for my beer-loving husband, 14 yo son and me. My husband was sick and missed the tour. My son and I enjoyed the tour a lot even though only one of us drank the beer. I enjoyed the czech beer despite not being a beer drinker. It was very interesting to learn about the history of beer and feel the pride the Czech's have for their beer.
Our guide, Mike, was excellent.
Ironically, the same tour guide, Michael, that had led our morning history tour, also led this tour. And we were once again the only 2 people which was great! He intended on talking us to three pub crawls, but we were tired after our first 2 because 1. we're not big drinkers and 2. we were just plain tired from all our traveling. He seems very knowledgeable and it was fun learning interesting new facts. We're now dark beer drinkers!
It turned out that I was the only person on this tour, so I had a personalised tour. The tour itself was very enjoyable and proved useful for discovering some very nice places to eat later during my stay, which were central and reasonably priced.
On the downside, I think the tour was more than a little overpriced, especially considering it was outsourced to a local tour firm, who advertise the same tour for almost half the price. Would gladly have paid this Viator rate to the guide who escorted me around, as he definitely did a good job.
It was a great tour, liked the food, and loved the beer. And it being a small group made for fun conversation.
