This was a highlight of our short visit to Prague. The driver arrived on time at our hotel and although he obviously didn't speak much English he was smiley and welcoming. We then picked up a further two passengers and drove to Grayline Tours base, where our guide Jana joined us. We were in a people carrier, my wife and I in row two and two Spanish speaking ladies in row three, and Jana up front with the driver. Jana was really knowledgeable about the history of the Czech Republic and of Austria, and gave us loads of information along the way. We had a coffee break just over halfway to Vienna, then we were taken to the Schonbrunn Palace where we spent a couple of hours. Then we went to Vienna city centre and were given a few hours of free time to explore the beautiful city before being driven back to Prague, again with a stop for food. It was a long day, but a very enjoyable one. Jana was brilliant at commentating in both English and Spanish, and our driver was fast but competent. I recorded a speed of 93mph on the autobahn but felt perfectly safe! All in all, a great day out, and I would highly recommend it!
I loved this trip. It was a small group of 6. Our guide Alice was lots of fun and very knowledgeable and our driver was great also. The tour was a one day taste of Vienna. Whilst a long day, it was worth it. I loved Vienna so much that I have decided that I will go back there to spend more time so thank you Alice for introducing this beautiful city to me. Alice and our driver made every attempt to make sure that we were comfortable, even taking us on a scenic route home to avoid traffic which gave us a look at more beautiful towns and was much more than we bargained for and very enjoyable. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see little bit of Vienna that doesn't have the time to stay longer. Deb Hill Melbourne Australia
Good tour, very friendly staff, gave us enough time for shopping. The lady, Alice was very knowledgeable and friendly.
We ended up being the only two people, so had a "private" tour. Our tour guide and driver were very knowledgeable and courteous. It was a great overview of Vienna, as much as you can do in one day. I believe to really explore Vienna in depth it would take at least two weeks!
Good, but better to stay a few days as there was lots ts see ,1 day does not allow to really get a good feel of the history to take in
Good day, the Vienna trip tour was a pleasant one day tour Tour guide was excellent, bus drive was pleasant, timing arrangements, sight seeings were just perfect for a day in Vienna.
Thank you, Daniel B.
Our day trip to Vienna from Prague was great! Full day of sight seeing in a beautiful city, Only complaint was not enough time to shop.
This tour started out for us to be in a van with 6 others but then there was 8 so we opted to go in a private car with a driver who doubled as our tour guide. He was Italian but quite good and knew alot of interesting history in the area. I hope they paid him well for pulling double duty as guide and chaffeur!! We may not have gotten as many "facts" as the tour guide in the other car but it was a very enjoyable day and we were probably more able to do things at our own pace and liking. Vienna is an amazing city with beautifully old buildings and a lively shopping area Stockim Eisen Platz downtown. We ate ice cream at a delicious Italian Zanoni and Zanoni gelatoria. St Stephen's Cathedral there was amazing and worth the free look inside where we observed as Mass was being said. We were not impressed with Schonbrunn and the long lines. We instead went to Belvedere Palace where we watched a folk dance festival that was performing that day! We walked to the University then off and saw Hofburg Palace and the great Mozart statue in front of it. On the back side of the palace a beer festival was in full swing with lots of people in this park. This was a long day but well worth it if you don't have the time to overnight there. We would have liked to spend more time and I would have liked to go shopping in the Platz!
The tour was very informative...would definitely recommend this tour if you have been around Prague and have an extra day. Worth a visit and very fortunate to have an all around Tour Guide .
Excellent day in Vienna. Alicia was so knowledgable and advocated for additional time and sights in Vienna. Her restaurant recommendations were outstanding during our free time. The palace was amazing. Bus ride is long--but expected.
We have a nice tour around Vienna on that day.The tour guide we're courteous ,and give us a very detail of the places we tour.Unfortunately ,our ride broke down ,and we waited late till past 11'oclock at night and back in Prague at 3AM.
