Tasting some good wines and taking breaks at picturesque places and medieval villages is a good idea for combining pleasure of the palate and pleasure of the eyes.
In the morning, you’ll have a scenic drive in the vineyards around Chateauneuf du pape, explanations about "terroir", grape varieties, vinification and aging cellars, and of course, wine tastings at 2 wineries with explanations on how to taste the wine.
The tour will continue to the Pont du Gard, the best preserved roman aqueduct, Les Baux de Provence, a picturesque medieval village in the Alpilles mountains, and then the famous village of Gordes which ranks among the most beautiful villages in France.
Free time for lunch by your own during the tour.
