Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Brazilian Side of Iguassu Falls Half-Day Sightseeing Tour from Puerto Iguazú. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Pickup at hotel was on time and guides were very nice and helpful during all the trip, specially getting through customs and the visit to the Brazilian side was fantastic.
I think this is a very good value for money. The timing is perfect as well- you won't need more than three hours to see the all angles through the designated platforms...and that is walking leisurely whilst trying to spot some wild life...I was lucky to see a couple of capuchin monkeys, a reptile that looks like iguana and various multi-coloured butterflies.
Advise though, bring a raincoat and something to cover your phone...on Devil's throat platform, it's more than a mist- it's more like a proper rain and you'll get drenched! it was fun but not if it will break your electronics.
Overall, I highly recommend this trip...
Incredible must see tour... Plus the guide was lovely and really helpful.
Excellent, beautiful tour, excellent guide. Carlos Martinez was with the group the entire time, double checking to make sure everyone was clear on where to to be and when. We felt very comfortable the entire time. Lunch was great!
Miguel was such a lovely tour guide and did a great job keeping us on track, taking pictures and making us laugh!
This tour was amazing!! The entrance to the park is NOT included (which was about $25 USD pp). The company picked us up from our hotel (Sheraton Iguazu Fals, Argentina) and took us to the National Park in Brazil. Then the guide gave us time to explore the falls from the Brazilian side. Tip - Don't forget your Passport!
What a great trip. Our guide Miguel was very helpful with excellent handle on the English language.
One point you may wish to consider is that the email Viator send out the day before is very confusing. It staes a pick up window for the tour which we adhered to but missed the bus! I rang the tour provider and they were excellent. They sent a separate bus and got us up to the tour and we completed it and it was great as I said. Our guide did point out that the time window put out by Viator was not "gospel". I would like to suggest that Viator direct the people on the tour to definitely ring the tour provider to confirm times. I have had several tours with Viator and this is the first time that something like this has happened but it was very disconcerting. Once again, great trip. Hope this helps. Regards, William
really good, but it is only about an hour in the actual park- nothing else much to do and it is not clear that you can upgrade to include other things in brazil- we ended up going to the bird park which was fun, good way to kill couple hours.
The tour is worth especially to avoid the formalities at the frontier. The guide took care of everything. However when booking consider that pick-up in Iguazu is at 13:30 (although tur starts at 15:00). If you just came from the airport this may be a problem as flights are usually delayed
Although I am the only one who speaks English, the guide takes good care of me during the tour, the view is awesome, the weather is marvellous.
I loved the Brazilian side of the Falls - not as extensive as the Argentinian side but great views and the walkway out over the waterfall was great fun. You get an hour or so to make your way round, then you're taken for what feels like a compulsory lunch - no option to do anything else as it's on a busy roadway.
Worth doing but be warned - this tour is not the four hours stated but closer to a full day. If you have onward travel plans it might be a problem. I did but the tour guide Marco was very helpful at getting me back on time.
While Iguazu Falls itself was obviously AMAZING, my experience on this tour was not as I had hoped. I had booked an English speaking tour, however was the only person on the tour of around 20-25 people who spoke English as a first language. Most of the group were native Spanish speakers. I don't mind everything being spoken in Spanish and then English, however, it made it quite uncomfortable for me having a group lunch together in a restaurant when I couldn't join in on the conversation everyone else was having.
I was also advised on the website and again when I called up, that we would be back at our hotels at 1pm. When it was obvious that we were not going to get back on time I was told by the guide that we would be back around 3:30 or 4. I had a plane to catch at 3:30 so ended up having to leave the tour group and rush my way back to my hotel in order to get my plane on time. I understand this tour was cheap, but I feel that better communication about the tour would have helped before I signed up.
You really don't need a tour to go over to the Brazilian side. We spent ages on a bus waiting for everyone's passports to be checked. Much better to get a taxi as it proved so quick and easy when we did it the next day. The guide didn't give any interesting facts he was merely just a transporter!
WORST tour ever!!! It was suppose to be a half day tour and it went longer than our full day tour!! Again english was the forgetten language, as we were the only english speaking people they didnt really care. We were also made to go to a buffett lunch and then duty fre shopping, very annoyed as we had other things booked for the afternoon and missed them because we were forced to things such as the lunch and duty free "or make our own way back by paying for a taxi".
I sent an email following this tour to express our disappointment and still waiting a repsonse
Overall wouldnt book with Viator again
