What You Can Expect
Visit coffee and chocolate plantations, which produce two of the island’s most-prized crops and learn how local farmers grow, harvest and produce these international best-sellers. You’ll have the chance to meet a Dominican family, visit their home and sample coffee and chocolate fresh from the plantation.
Next you’ll stop at a local school where you’ll be greeted by the friendly faces and voices of local children. Learn about the Dominican education system and engage with school youth in this interactive experience.
After the visit you’ll be able to cool off with a swim in a nearby freshwater river, or tuck into a family-style Dominican lunch, complete with fresh fruits and sweet, local sugarcane.
You’ll stop at a local rum shack to learn how sugarcane is transformed into Dominican Republic’s most popular spirit, plus have the chance to drink unlimited beer, rum and sodas on this all-inclusive tour. Purchase local rum, cigars, coffee or chocolate to take to friends and family back home.
After a quick visit to a local wildlife ranch you’ll make your way to a remote stretch of beach where you’ll have the chance to boogie board, swim and sunbathe with cocktail in hand. Once the day is done, you’ll head back to your Puerto Plata hotel with return transport from your friendly, professional driver.
Perfect! We were a party of two adults, two teens and a 12 year old. Everybody enjoyed it thoroughly. Our guide Junior was lovely and really looked after everybody. Very knowledgeable and we got to have a more authentic taste of the island - some history, geography, horticulture as well as swimming and body boarding. Lunch was delicious! Take some money to purchase local souvenirs which help the community. Highly recommended.
This tour was great. We had tons of things to do and feel we got a wide range of Dominacan live both our driver and our host were spectacular. I would definitely recommend this tour.
The tour was wonderful. Our guide was Junior he was funny, personable and just great. We highly recommend this tour.
Best day of our vacation! My husband and I and our 12 yr old son were the last to be picked up at our hotel around 9:30am. Everyone on the bus was friendly and Manny spoke very good English. He even translated to French for one couple. First stop is a typical Dominican house in the countryside, very interesting and we ate fresh fruit and learned about all kinds of plants. Then we went to a school that is supported by Outback Safari - bring school supplies, but no candy or money! We had a fabulous lunch chicken wings and rice and beans at a crocodile farm, then went boogie boarding in the ocean. If you don't want to swim, you can get a massage for free on the beach, but the boogie boarders had a blast! Oh yeah, unlimited beer and rum the whole day, don't forget to drink water too! A must see, and ask for Manny!

Driver and guide were great stops and lunch wonderful just did not appreciate so much emphasis on drinking and the off-color comments not everyone in this world driven by sex and drink thx
