Meet your driver after arriving in Puerto Quetzal and head to the picturesque town of Antigua Guatemala (Old Guatemala City), where you’ll experience the beauty of this Spanish colonial UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your friendly guide will meet you upon arrival and lead you on a 1.5-hour walking tour of Antigua’s most famed highlights. Wander the idyllic cobblestone streets past the twin bell towers of La Merced Church, marvel at Nuestra Enora de la Merced—the city’s largest fountain—and stroll past some of the city’s most distinguished landmarks.
Your guide will provide insight and information about the iconic Santa Catalina Arch, which was built in 1964, and shed light on the private passageways that once allowed cloistered nuns to pass from one side of the Santa Catalina convent to another.
Once you’ve explored the beauty of Antigua, join your fellow travelers on your air-conditioned coach for your zipline adventure. Soar over the lush forest floor, past epic views of Volcan de Agua on eight sets of cables, two hanging bridges and one giant tower. Licensed guides will provide a safety briefing to ensure safety on this extreme sport adventure for all levels.
Once you’ve seen the city from the sky, enjoy a home-style lunch (beverages not included) before heading with your fellow travelers back to Puerto Quetzal around 2:30 p.m.
