Easy pick up arrangements, interesting journey to and from Baie St Catherine, excellent driver/tour guide then the piece-de-resistance being the amazing zodiac trip. We did get very wet (tip - avoid the right hand side seat at the rear!!!) but it didn't matter one bit. We saw two pods of Hump Backed whales, in fact they approached us really quite closely - amazing. Then we also saw two blue whales - truly unforgettable. A really good trip, a humbling experience being able to get so close to these beautiful creatures, and very good value. You must try it - brave the zodiac it's worth it!
Despite terrible visibility we had a great trip with our coach driver Yves pointing out anything we could see from the window through the mist and amazing us with his linguistic gymnastics - switching from french to english several times in one sentence! The trip on the zodiac was equally full of effort to find a whale somewhere in the fog and the driver seemed as pleased as us when he could finally show us a humpback whale. Excellent!
Although quite a long distance from Quebec City it was well worth the trip.
A long day but well worth to get out amongst the whales.Great trip from start to finish.
My wife and I enjoyed it very well! It was something new and exciting to attend. We'll organized, seen three different types of whales! Highly recommended!!!!! Would return if we had the chance to.
We went in the very beginning of August and It was a fabulous experience ! Our guide, Frances, seem to know exactly where to go and find the whales !!! We had an amazing few moments , when a big whale dove under our zodiac boat and after made a deep dive right in front of us, giving us a picture perfect view of the tale! I will do this trip again when I return to Quebec !
We saw more whales on this tour than we did in Alaska!!!!! Highly recommend, it is worth the long bus trip.
A fantastic day from start to finish.
Yves was entertaining and knowledgeable on the journey to Baie-Saint-Catherine.
Upon arrival we were equipped with waterproofs and boarded the Zodiac with a minimum of fuss.
Exhilarating trip to start, but nothing could prepare us for the first sight of a whale diving; we were told it was rare.
We saw "Minky" and "Hump-Back" whales just a few feet away, and got some tremendous photos..
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.
Terrific value for money.
Knowledgable and entertaining (bilingual) coach driver. On the boat we saw lots of whales, plus excited and knowledgable live commentary on board. It would be really useful to take jumpers/waterproofs/gloves as it turned out to be a cold, misty day in July. The whole family thought it definetely worth it.
Great day, we saw lots of whales, Yves the guide is just great.
I had a marvelous time. We saw quite a few whales, it was wonderful. The bus driver was funny and curteous and the scenery was beautiful.
From the moment our bus driver, Alain Bernier? arrived to collect us outside the hotel it was a magical all day experience. Alain gave us a wonderfully enthusiastic commentary of each of the places we passed, including Montmorency Falls and the beautiful Charlevoix region. We felt he should have had a separate driver as he was an excellent tour guide but the driving required a great deal of attention along the rolling hills of the region.
The three hour boat trip out into the St-Lawrence to see the whales was very well organized and we saw hump backs, lots of minkes, hundreds of grey seals and belugas.
We have no hesitation in recommending this excellent tour and congratulate Alain, a first class guide.
