Your Fraser Island Exclusive 1-day tour begins with your courtesy pick-up from your accommodation in Hervey Bay (as advised by you at time of booking) before boarding the 'Fraser Dawn' for a 45 minute cruise across the Great Sand Straits. During the short cruise try to spot the diverse marine life on your journey across to Moon Point.
During the day you will have time to swim in the pristine freshwaters of Lake Allom and Eli Creek as well as visit the Maheno Shipwreck, Yidney Rainforest and the Coloured Sands. This tour is quite unique as it is the only day tour that visits Lake Allom, home to the freshwater turtles which surface regularly. Other than the turtles you also have the chance to spot goannas and dingoes on your day out on Fraser!
Your guides will ensure that you are well fed to help you get the most out of your day. Enjoy a delicious morning tea at Fraser Island Wilderness Retreat and a sumptuous lunch at Frasers at Cathedral Beach. Relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounds while your expert guide prepares grilled BBQ fish, or prime cut steaks, with a selection of fresh salads and drinks (vegetarians happily catered for on request).
On completion of the tour your guide will drop you back to your Hervey Bay accommodation around 5:30 - 6:00pm via our air-conditioned, 4WD tour bus.
