The cruise visits two spectacular outer reef dive and snorkel sites.

Norman Reef offers a great variety of fish life, pelagic, turtles, coral gardens, swim through, caves, giant clams. Amphitheater like sandy floors are surrounded by coral hillocks, reef edge and bommies. The swim through are excellent but some of the caves are not safe and a guide is necessary to lead you and show you which ones are safe. There are walls of all sizes and shapes with overhangs common.

Saxon Reef has hard corals, moray eels, lion fish, Maori wrasse, beautiful coral gardens. Excellent shallow snorkeling over the bommie tops. Swim through and gullies are scattered throughout the reef. The white sandy floor reflects the light and on a sunny day turns the whole area into a classic magical reef scene.

Snorkeling is one of the best ways to view the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkeling equipment (including prescription masks) included and easy access to the water is available from lowered platforms. You are invited to join a free guided tour, to get the most out of your snorkeling experience.

During the day you will be provided with an Aussie tropical lunch. This will be a great day out!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SCUBA DIVING:

• For both first time and certified divers - a history of asthma, ear and heart conditions and any other medical conditions may preclude a passenger from scuba diving unless a current Australian Diving Medical can be shown to the instructor
• All intending divers over the age of 65 years must provide a current Diving Medical certificate
• All divers must complete a medical questionnaire or declaration on board the vessel prior to diving and their fitness to dive will be assessed by the diving instructor
• The minimum age for the diving is 12 years
• Certified divers must show a "C" card on the day

What to bring:

• Hat, sunscreen and a shirt for sun protection
• Swimming costume (bathing suit) and a beach towel
• Cash or credit card for onboard payment of extras (optional tours, beer, wine, softdrinks, chocolates, under-water snorkeling camera)
