Great Barrier Reef Day Cruise to Reefworld

Travel aboard a large, high-speed, air-conditioned catamaran to the idyllic Great Barrier Reef for a day of unsurpassed adventure. Reefworld, located at Hardy Reef, is your base for exploring this natural wonder. Hardy Reef is one of the most beautiful and prolific of nature's coral gardens, confirmed by the vibrant coral and abundance of marine life experienced whilst snorkeling or diving. So many colors and thousands of fish!

Tour the reef without getting wet aboard the large spacious semi-submersibles and learn from informative commentary delivered by experienced Reef Interpreters. Reefworld's facilities also include a large, seated underwater viewing chamber (where soft nautical music carries you away to a state of pure underwater bliss!); a safe and secure diving area; a large sundeck with boundless views of the surrounding reef systems; a tailor-made viewing area on deck to see the massive Queensland Groper living beneath the platform; change rooms; fresh water showers; children's swimming enclosures and extensive shaded areas.

Club Seahorse is Fantasea's free children's club that will keep youthful patrons entertained all day! Including 30 minute child care blocks (so Mum and Dad can enjoy some in-water time together!), face-painting, activity booklets, competitions, board games, storytelling and children's movies ? CRUISE PLUS ONE (1) INTRODUCTORY DIVE:
For the first time diver, we'll show you how enjoyable and easy SCUBA diving really is! After a 20 minute lecture on board en route to Reefworld, you'll be fitted with your equipment in the dive area and then taken to the "Moon Pool" for a practice session. Once you've mastered the skills, the dive instructor will gently guide you down the rope trail to a depth of 8-10 meters. A series of rope trails along the reef are used for reference points and security for the less confident and inexperienced divers. For 30 minutes you'll have time to enjoy the beauty of the reef and be amazed by the bountiful and spectacular fish life. Small groups of 4 divers per instructor means we offer a high level of supervision. If you're lucky, Wally the Hump Headed Maori Wrasse will come say hello or you might even spot a turtle or eagle ray gliding by?

CRUISE PLUS ONE (1) CERTIFIED DIVE:
For the more experienced divers, once an in depth briefing is given, which will cover any questions or concerns, you'll enter the water via the Moon Pool and dive for approximately 45 minutes to a maximum depth of 16m. The top 16m of Hardy Reef hosts the most marine life and the more recent coral formations so it's where the best coral and fish life is to be found. If the tide and conditions are suitable, a drift dive may also be an option.

A history of certain medical conditions may preclude a guest from SCUBA diving unless a current Diving Medical Certificate can be shown to the instructor. All intending divers over the age of 55 years of age must produce a current Diving Medical Certificate. All divers are subject to a medical questionnaire on board the vessel before diving and their fitness to dive will be assessed by a diving instructor.
