Duration: 8 hours (approx.)
Departs from: Cairns, Palm Cove and Northern Beaches, Australia
Product code: 3220SQA1DSNORK
The Outer Barrier Reef offers beginner and experienced snorkelers an amazing reef snorkeling experience. Tropical weather all year round, an abundance of fish life that surrounds every coral reef and warm water temperatures make diving this area one of the most enjoyable snorkeling sites in the world.
The Outer Barrier Reef is situated approximately 63 kilometers (40 miles) from Cairns and is easily accessible by the fast day diving vessel, the SeaQuest ADV. The SeaQuest ADV offers you the chance to dive the very best of the Outer Barrier Reef in absolute comfort and style.
The new SeaQuest ADV is an advanced, modern vessel. Faster then it's predecessor, the new vessel will transport you in air-conditioned comfort to the Outer Barrier Reef arriving with more time to enjoy the reef. The vessel is 22.5 meters in length, has a cruising speed of 25 knots and carries a maximum of 60 passengers. With an average 1:4 crew to passenger ratio, you can be assured of individual attention from the fully trained and experienced crew. Local produce and exotic tropical fruits are features of a smorgasbord lunch included in your snorkel trip today. Complimentary tea and coffee is available throughout the day.
Famous visiting underwater environmentalist, Jean Michel Cousteau, was most impressed with the reef locations and reef care. As part of the contribution to reef research and education, SeaQuest donates a proportion of every fare to Marine Parks.
The SeaQuest ADV is a dedicated dive boat with the majority of passengers being scuba divers, with a few snorkelers. Experienced divers, learner divers and those preferring only to snorkel are all welcome on this day trip to the Great Barrier Reef. If you would prefer to scuba dive, please refer to either 3220SQA1DCDIVE or 3220SQA1DIDIVE.
