What You Can Expect

Milford Sound Helicopter Tour from Queenstown

Milford Sound Fantastic Helicopter Flight

Your Milford Sound helicopter flight provides access to some of New Zealand’s most secluded natural wonders. An expert pilot takes you sightseeing into the heart of the UNESCO-listed Fiordland with unrivaled aerial views of the lush rainforest, bush-lined valleys and crevasse-filled glaciers between Queenstown and Milford Sound.

Start your helicopter tour with hotel pickup before taking to the skies on a 1.5-hour scenic ride. En route, listen to the pilot’s informative commentary about the stunning landscape below. Upon reaching your destination, you’ll hover above iconic Mitre Peak before landing at Milford Sound, and make another landing on a remote peak in the Humboldt Range.

When it’s time again for take-off, marvel at up-close views of the famous fiord’s towering peaks and sparkling waterways. Then fly over the crevasse-filled Tukuko Glacier, landing here or in Otago's Glacier Basin, before your return flight to Queenstown where you’re transferred to your hotel.

Please note: All landings are weather-dependent and according to the pilot's discretion.

That was the most incredible thing I've ever done. It was so beautiful, and riding in the helicopter to see it was truly an amazing change from all my other vacations. Loved every minute of it. Thanks!

My wife and I thought the flight was brilliant and would love to do it again. It made a super holiday even better! The only negative was the uncertainty of the flight due to lack of numbers. The flight time was changed three times and only confirmed about an hour beforehand.
