We were taken here straight from the airport, though I'd read some reviews that said it was a bit of a tourist trap in my opinion the Blue Lagoon was a real highlight. Picture freezing temperatures outside and being in a steaming warm natural lagoon with a swim up bar, amazing! Be prepared to pay the additional entrance fee though.
After a bit of a mix up we was collected from the airport on our arrival day and tackle to the lagoon the driver stored our cases on the coach of us , also there was a member of staff going round taken photos that they emailed to you at no cost which was a nice surprise but the pics do go on there website at the lagoon there is also steam rooms water fountain ,great refreshing start to our holiday
We came out of customs and our driver was there holding a sign with our name on it. We had one other couple with us. We were able to leave to leave our suitcases on the bus and they picked us up at the assigned time and took us to our hotel. Worked perfect
Going to the Blue Lagoon on the way to Reykjavik is the way to do it! Our flight landed at 3pm (15:00) and the bus took us directly to the Lagoon. They held our bags while we swam and drank and were waiting for us when we were finished! I loved the option of 2 different departure times from the blue lagoon to our hotel as well. I would highly recommend!
We had a transfer coach all to ourselves which felt really nice - exclusive driver! He was nic and pointed out a few sights on the way. The blue lagoon was expensive but worth it - it's a one off experience that you have to try. The bags we safe on the coach and the ride into the town was prompt and to the door. Very much recommended way of getting from or to the airport whilst taking in one of the key sights
Great way to arrive in Iceland. Bus driver was in arrivals, left airport half an hour early which gave us half an hour extra at Blue Lagoon. Left luggage on bus. Blue Lagoon is an experience not to be missed and makes you feel you really have arrived in Iceland. Transfer from Lagoon to Hotel takes less than an hour. Would recommend doing this trip on arrival or departure as makes the most of your time (Blue Lagoon is only 20mins from airport).
Easy way to get from the airport to the blue lagoon and then to your hotel. The driver was also very friendly and just happened to be from Canada where I am from. Saves you a lot of time and the blue lagoon has facilities for your luggage and personal items. well worth it.
I was the only one on the tour, but the tour guide/driver was extremely friendly & welcoming.
A great trip...well worth doing on the way to your hotel as you arrive in Iceland, or as you are leaving. Well organised and planned...no problems at all.
Really pleasant to go for a warm bath right after landing, even if it was rainy, very enjoyable!
I hadn't realised we'd need to wait at the airport until the next bus made a run to the Blue Lagoon ... luckily I'd booked our massages with plenty of time to get there and still relax. Our luggage did arrive with the bus that picked us up, and the transfer to the hotel was perfectly smooth. It doesn't take long to get to the Blue Lagoon from the airport and then into Reykjavik - definitely worth doing. This experience set us up for the rest of the trip. Tip for the Blue Lagoon: enter the water inside the building, then wade out into the lagoon through the side door. That way you don't freeze walking outside before enjoying the warm water.
The bus arrived promptly and dropped us off at the blue lagoon which was a very wacky place.the driver asked us how long we wanted to stay and when we came out our bags were on the bus waiting for us. Bus took us to reykavic and then a minibus took us to our hotel. Great introduction to Iceland.
