Whether you have a lot of time in Iceland or just a little, this is a tour definitely worth doing, if you don't plan to rent a car. The downside is that it is a very popular tour so a lot of people go. That is the only downside. The scenery was spectacular and the tour gave plenty of time at each major site, so much that one could see the geysir erupt at least 8 times (it erupts about every 5 minutes). There was also plenty of time at the spectacular waterfall to enable one (if one decided to forgo lunch) to take the path right down to the waterfall. The guide was very informative. I would probably recommend the Day trip, the one I took, because it allows more time at each site.

It would be difficult to get this one wrong. So many wonderful sights in one day. We had a great guide, he wasn't Icelandic but had good geological knowledge and a clear love for the country. He talked just enough to give us the information we needed, without bombarding or boring us.
The only complaint I have relates to the hotel pickup. My hotel was literally a 2-minute walk from the Iceland Excursions office, so I assumed that we would be picked up en route to the Golden Circle, and I was told to expect my pickup at 8. I waited outside the hotel until 8:15 only to be dropped off at IE's offices, and then to have a 10-minute wait for the excursion bus. What a waste of time - had I known I would have just walked there in my own time, and had an extra half-hour in bed.

I was very impressed by the trip. WE were picked up on time from our hotel and the trip departed on time. It was very interesting and our guide was quite knowledgeable and informative. I never felt rushed and we saw a lot. Since I reserved this on line I was quite happy that this worked so well.

Can't fault this trip really, especially for the price. This is an all day excursion, and you see plenty in that time. Gulfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir are all must-sees in Iceland. The driver and guide were both good. What more do you want?

The tour itself was fabulous, however, my experience with Viator--not so much. Their customer service is terrible,. I called regarding a question about my tour and both women thatI spoke to were not only unhelpful, but they were very rude and abrupt. I wish I would have waited until I got to Iceland to book directly with Icelandic Excursions. I will never use Viator again. I advise you to either book through another third party vendor or try to book directly with Icelandic Excursions.

This is a definite regardless of how much time you have in Iceland. I was here with my partner and 2 children and they loved it as well. Would do this again. Everything about it was great.

A very well organised tour which concentrated on the major sights and allowed plenty of time to experience the destination. The guide was excellent; very knowledgeable, good humoured and flexible enough to allow for additional photo-stops along the route, to maximise on the spectacular scenery. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for an overview of Iceland.

This is the second time I've been on this trip and it certainly is a must for anyone visiting Iceland. However, how much you are going to appreciate it depends on the time of year you go, unfortunately this time, it was cold, raining and misty, which spoilt the day!

Wonderful trip with again a very amusing, interesting guide. Punctual pick up from the hotel and the sites we visited were fabulous and well-planned considering it was a six hour tour and Iceland in January has very little daylight. Excellent!

A lovely trip around Iceland seeing some of it's most memorable sights. Even on a cold (-14c with some fairly brisk wind) it was an unbelievably beautiful and moving experience.
