Must experience. You may have seen Niagara, but this is a different kettle of fish. much less commercial, no one coaxing you to buy stuff, its just you and the waterfall. Its very windy and very cold, so be appropriately covered up. There is a little restaurant at the top of a highland here, and you can go up and try their Lamb soup which is an Icelandic delicacy, and very comforting in the freezing cold!! Must see!
This is a must do tour and shows some of the natural wonders of Iceland. Unfortunately the weather was pretty bad when we went, but still the tour was amazing and our guide was very informative. We managed to take lots of photographs and also got some good ones of the geysir! I can't wait to go back. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland.
The motor coach was quite comfortable. The stars of the afternoon were of courst the natural wonders!. The guide was extremely knowledgeble and very easy to uderstand, unlike another tour we had experienced. She was always available to answer questions at each site we visited. On the return leg to Reykjavik we even had a surprise stop at another waterfall which was quite beautiful. And on returning tot he city the bus driver made several stops to drop us off at a preferred location for our convienence. We found that the half day tour at 6 hours was plenty long for our enjoyment. I would highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic trip, everything went smoothly. Great guide and driver. Very comfortable bus.
This trip takes approximately 6 hours, so a good half days worth.
There was enough time allowed at each location, so no rush.
First stop for us was the site where the original parliament was, just a site, but there is a great viewpoint the area is set between the land masses of America and Europe, we then went on to GullFoss, a spectacular waterfall, there's good facilities and time to see the waterfall, have something to eat and by more souvenirs - showing your trip receipt allows 10% of your food bill.
We then progressed to see the Geysers, another rest place with café, shop toilets etc.
As from 2nd week in March 2014, you now have to pay an additional fee to walk over in the field to get up close to the Geysers, 500kr/£2.70/$4.50, they will take all denominations. its worth it to see the geyser going off every 5 minutes, our guide was trying to see if the company could sort out group discounts.
With lots of commentary along the way, this was good value.
A really amazing tour. The guide was really friendly and knew a lot about the local area. The scenery was of course fantastic. We stopped for about 40 mins at each place, which seems like a long time in theory but flew by as we waited with cameras at the ready for Strokker to blow.
The tour was extremely well organised so that we really made the most of the sights in the short time. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable too. A definite must if you are restricted for time whilst in Reykjavik.
Excellent tour with lots of interesting this to see. Guide very knowledgeable about the points of interest on the tour. Recommended!
guide very good considering he was new to the job. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Pity that the weather and daylight were against us however still a fantastic experience. My only gripe is that it was not clear that we had to change the voucher to tickets before getting on main coach
Fantastic tour! Great tour guide, very informative. Sights were amazing. Would highly recommend this trip.
An interesting and informative trip. efficiently run with friendly and knowledgeable guide. did just what it said on the tin.
Would, and have, recommended your company to others.
Brilliant tour for a short stay in Iceland, our tour guide Junior was brilliant. We were only in Reykjavik for 2 whole days and this tour exceeded expectations. Perfect duration to see all the highlights of the area and also have to mention the comfortable coach we toured in. We decided to take our own meals with us and very glad we did, as it gave us a chance to make the most of the time we had at each stop. No wasting time queing in a cafe for some soup. Finally a mention to the tour companies, top class. Very well organised, just a shame some of the guests were not so organised.
