The half day tour was perfect for seeing the Grand Circle sights. Gulfoss is spectacular! The falls and the short hike to get up close were especially memorable. Tour leader also provides historical and natural information along the way.
Our guide was amazing, and the places we visited were breathtaking, especially Gulfoss.
Excellent half day trip, just about the right amount of time to see some beautiful scenery and sights. The tour guide was very informative. Gulfloss was amazing but wrap up warm when visiting as the cold wind is cutting.
A lot of nature and highlights in one afternoon, very good guide, calm and informative, I enjoyed it. There was no space on the bus for hand luggage though and there was nomlegroom really
Well educated and competent guide. We got what we wanted and expected.
As a bonus we had the best weather :
The tour is well managed and the guide is friendly.
A very interesting tour capturing a lot of sights in the time. Quite a long drive but well worth the money.
Our guide was extremely friendly, informative, and entertaining. Pick up was on time. The sights were amazing. This tour was great! I highly recommend it!
Perfect for our group. The guide was great, and the driver took us through snow and wind to the beautiful attractions.
excellent day, wrap up warm, wind is cutting when you get down to gulfoss waterfall
Perfect tour for day 1 in Iceland since it didn't leave until noontime. The locations were a great introduction to some of the remarkable geology and scenery in Iceland. Our tour leader, Jacob, was great--informative, knowledgeable, a good story teller, funny and very proud of Iceland. Of note, he several times acknowledged the importance and competence of our driver--a crucial person who is often taken for granted.
The trip as organised was wonderful, if the distances were rather long! But, having previously visited the National Park at night to view the Northern Lights it was amazing to see the landscape in daylight. The Geyser and the Waterfall were especially interesting.
The driver and guide were extremely competent and deserve special mention, but not so the tourists in the party, many of whom did not understand simple instructions and caused major delays to the progress of the trip Told the visit was 40 minutes, some of the party took 70 minutes. The driver and guide were extremely patient, and absolutely no blame can be attached to them or to the originating tour operator.
Weather was variable, scenery was wonderful. Our guide, Brynbis, was informative, pleasant, and FUNNY! She really made the day.
This 'express' tour is perfect if you are enjoying a limited stay in Iceland. The Icelandic tour guide has excellent English and knowledge of the places you visit on the tour and was happy to answer questions about Iceland and its people in general too. Gulfoss, coated in ice and snow, is magnificent and Geysir and its active neighbours provide the sort of experiences that will stay with you long after you have had to come home. A first rate trip that I thoroughly recommend.
Excellent tour guide and driver. Weather was poor, but well worth the time and money. Hope to go back in the summer
This was an informative and remarkable tour. Loved the Geysir and actually caught it on video. The Gulfoss waterfall was a bit too much for my sister to walk the pathway to so I hung back with her. My cousins made the trek and took amazing pictures and videos. Our tour guide was exceptionally funny and kept everyone intrigued with his facts and information.
We had a great guide who was passionate about Iceland and its beauty and who was very informative. The tour was very enjoyable and in a short time we got to see a lot of Iceland's amazing beauty.
A quick, but excellent half-day trip. All the sights were able to be covered, with quick stops at each, during this short-of-daylight time of year. Well worth taking this tour if you are in Reykjavik in December!
Despite the long drive, it was well worth it. Incredible scenery, enhanced by the terrific commentary given by our guide.
Since we had a short time in Iceland, this tour was perfect for us. We were able to relax in the morning and then take the bus tour that gave a quick overview of many of the highlights of Iceland. The waterfall was beautiful and the geyser was interesting. Nowhere near as exciting as Old Faithful, but definitely worth seeing. The prices of everything in Iceland are extremely high by US standards, and that includes the food at the visitor's centers where we stopped on this tour, and the gift shop items. Fortunately, the restrooms took credit cards if you didn't have the appropriate Iceland coins! Yes, they charged a dollar or two to use the restrooms at the visitor center! Our tour guide, Ziggy, was very friendly and very informative about Iceland lore. We especially enjoyed his stories about fairies.
Even though we fell asleep for the beginning of the tour jet lag we enjoyed the experience and our guide Jakob sp was great! We would recommend this tour to anyone.
This trip was a great overview of the Golden Circle and the guide was quite entertaining.
