A fantastic day! The guided tour was interesting and took us to some stunning places. The scenery is unlike anything we'd seen before. Then on to the Blue Lagoon, which is the most amazing place. It's fairly pricey, but well worth it. We also had massages, which I would highly recommend!!
great day tour with Jacob, who was so knowledgeable. Blue Lagoon is awesome!
We had a wonderful guide, full of information...terrible weather didn't stop us. I am hoping to visit again.
Delightful guide. Great way to spend half a day before a flight home. They were very helpful with our luggage.
I booked this tour for my husband's family as well as my family and they enjoyed it. It was nice to see the sea birds and the varying landscapes. The Blue Lagoon is nice, but take an early bus back--we spent about 3 hours there for lunch and swimming that was plenty of time. Most of our group promptly fell asleep on the bus ride back to the hotel from the Blue Lagoon.
Very good tour. I liked the coffee and restroom stop at the airport as I didn't realize how quite and rural the area we were going to was! The scenery was very interesting--very much like a moonscape with the occasional town or geothermal spring. There were some beautiful views of the ocean and lighthouses/churches as well.
We planned a 10 hour layover in Iceland and filled it with this tour. It was very easy to do and the tour operator assisted in making sure we were on time for our flight. We managed to tour the peninsula and also spend an hour at the Blue Lagoon.
A heavenly experience, definitely the highlight of my trip. Unique to Iceland!
The weather was awful but the trip itself was very worthwhile and enjoyable. I would have no hesitation in recommending it. The guide was outstanding and extremely interesting, quite prepared to talk about matters not related to the trip and even personal matters, which was very interesting and gave us a much better understanding of Iceland, its people, language and culture.
This is a nice tour. Very laid-back. Gives a nice view of the Icelanic landscape. We stopped at a couple of small towns and a ship dock. They really could have skipped the ship dock as nothing was going on and all we did was walk around a bit. We got to the Blue Lagoon about 1130am. You have a couple of pick-up times to choose from. There will be buses waiting outside. They will return you right back to your hotel. Overall, a good tour.
The tour guide was very rude to my husband and I. We were two minutes late getting back to the bus at a rest stop because we were waiting in line for our lattes. We apologized for being a little late by saying "sorry." He responded by saying "Are you?"
The sites we stopped at themselves were great. However, we had to cut out two stops in order to pick up someone from the airport. That was not right; we shouldn't have had to sacrifice two more stops because of the company's logistical disorganization.
We did two other tours with this company, and they were terrific, and professionally run. Howver this tour was completely different. The driver's commentary was inadequate, and not up to the company's standard. When we reached Blue Lagoon, there was no organisation in place to advise customers regarding return trips to Reykjavik, to the extent that the drivers were totally disinterested and we even witnessed one driver who was repeatedly rude to guests.
