I loved this trip. Got to see some lovely views and the horses are beautiful. Unlike any other horse. They are quite spirited and the trot is very bouncy due to shorter legs. The people were great too. Very friendly and match your horse with your experience.

Fun and different kind of day - nice people and guides, great horses, wonderful scenery, even cross through some creeks. After 30 minutes, horses get to graze a little, then it's back in the saddle to return to the farm. If you're going to blue lagoon next - no worries, they get you to tour bus facility for 1 pm departure. You'll have several departure times to select from at the end of the day. We ate a late lunch in their classy restaurant. It was superb. Hot springs perfect ending to a great day. The trip went exactly as it was described - and it was great. If you've never been on a horse, you'll still enjoy it.

The Viking Horse ride was marvelous, a highlight of our trip! The horses are all well behaved and gentle with the novice rider and the scenery is amazing! We forded three streams, one rather deep, which added zest to the adventure. The Blue Lagoon is not to be missed. Scheduling that after the horse ride made for a perfect day.

Absolutely loved if from start to finish. Pick up from hotel was a bit confusing as we were taken to a central point to wait and then taken back to our hotel to pick up other guests, but apart from that the whole day was wonderful. The horse riding was fantastic even if you were not a rider and the Blue Lagoon is a great way to relax afterwards. Thoroughly recommend this trip.

My best friend of 50 years and I had a wonderful time on the Viking Horse Riding Tour in the morning followed by a relaxing time at the Blue Lagoon. Would recommend it to anyone. The guides were great and we met so many lovely people. Would love to do it again sometime.

Excellent time with horse-back riding, even if it was raining. The horses didn't seem to mind at all. The hot springs may be considered 'touristy', but it was defiant a must-see if in Iceland. Would definitely stop by again even for a day next time heading to Europe.

Had a great time at both the horse farm and the blue lagoon. One thing that wasn't clear was that you start at the bus terminal and go to the horse farm then you go back to the bus terminal and then leave from there for the blue lagoon around 1pm. This caused some stress as I had made massage appointments for 2pm and the bus was late departing the terminal so we missed about 20 minutes of our hour long massages. So in short if you are booking any reservations at the blue lagoon do so after 3pm.

Horse riding scenery was great. It looked like a postcard. Well trained horses even though you never ride a horse you will enjoy it. They explained the basics. Pants are provided so you do not get dirty. Time at the lagoon is sufficient to eat and enjoy from 3-4 hours at the Blue Lagoon if you leave in the last bus.

I am NOT a horseback rider - been on a horse maybe twice before in my life. But this was wonderful. My horse Bones was well-behaved and patient for the most part and the guides were incredibly experienced and helpful. There was a guide in the front, the back, and several in the middle to make sure no one ran into any trouble and to help out if they did. They had waterproof gear, boots, and helmets for everyone, and the countryside that we rode through was picturesque.
And the Blue Lagoon - enchanting enough that though I didn't have much time to spend there, I returned on the last day of my trip and spent hours there, just luxuriating in the warm waters, sipping a smoothie and enjoying one of the facial masks they offer. If you need a few relaxing and rejuvenating hours, this is the place to go.

I had never done horse riding before so I was a bit nervous but within a few minutes of riding I picked it up really quickly. The Viking horses are similar to our Shetland ponies and are very well behaved, gentle and adorable. The ride lasted for 90 minutes approximately and you get the opportunity at half way to go into a slow or fast group. I felt very comfortable riding for the first time and the saddles and stirrups made it easy to stay balanced on the horse - I ended up going with the small group of fast riders as I enjoyed it when the horses started to gallop rather than just trot! Great tour for beginner riders!

This was a fantastic day tour and I would love to go again. I went on my birthday with my husband while on a 10-day self drive tour for our honeymoon. We started out with an instructional video and the guides provided helmets and waterproof pants for anyone who wanted them. I've never ridden a horse before but it was surprisingly easy and the guides teach you how to handle them. We broke off into an experienced fast riding group and novice slow trot group. My horse was a little disappointed to be in the slow group because he tried to break off and join the fast group before I could guide him in the right direction. We rode through the lava fields just outside Reykjavik right after the first big snow of the year so the scenery looked even more magical. The tour lasted about an hour, which was just enough time to start feeling sore. Afterwards, a bus took us to the Blue Lagoon about 45 minutes away. (Just a few notes, you can't bring backpacks or large cameras on the tour but you can leave them in the lobby. This tour includes the horse ride and all bus fare but admission to the Blue Lagoon is separate, pay when you get there.) As touristy as everyone says the Blue Lagoon is, I thought it was one of the highlights of our trip. It was perfect after horseback riding to relax and soothe your muscles. The swim-up bar is awesome and the Skyr smoothies are delicious. This was one of the best days of our honeymoon.

The ponies are really docile and anyone with a bit of riding experience would find this fun - they do trot so don't do if you're expecting a leisurely walk. The blue lagoon is a must on a trip to Iceland - we loved floating around enjoying a glass of fizz :)

Views were spectacular, horses were sweet and paired well according to level, instructors took great care to make sure we were comfortable and dry!
Blue Lagoon was beautiful and extremely kid friendly. Food options were very limited there though and you had to pay entrance fee and towel fee!

The horse riding was great fun and as a first timer I would highly recommend it. we had a beautiful day and the views were amazing. The guides at the horse riding were super friendly. Great fun! The staff at the main depot of the tour company were very friendly and helpful. This trip that had two parts to it. The first part was horse riding in the morinig and the second part of the day was the Blue Lagoon. Because we had a show booked for that evening we were going to be running tight on time if we went to the blue lagoon. We asked the girl at the ticket office if we could change our transfer out to the blue lagoon to another day, she did this without any hesitation and also called the blue lagoon and changed the booking that I had made with them. Great customer service.
