The weather was not the best for a day of outside touring....but still a wonderful time and great sights. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The Rhine portion was great...saw many castles along the river.
Jon was a excellent tour guide, I would recommend this tour to everyone! Heidelberg was a beautiful town and castle, we had a bit of time to explore. Jon made the trip so fun and the info was like wow! The river cruise was a blast, I had no idea that we would see so many castles. The dinner afterwards with the wine tasting was so much fun. (I only wish the restaurant would have taken credit cards). After dinner Jon took us to a special place and it closed up our day perfect. I would highly recommend this tour!
We have enjoy this tour from the beginning to the end, especially vine tasting.
Brilliant full day tour. Was hoping to have more time in Heidelberg but need to catch for the Rhine tour. Guide was really great and the sites visited are also nice. Recommended for those who visit Frankfurt.
Excellent. Guide was superb. Wine tasting and rhine valley trip was excellent.
Two trips in one day really, first out to Heildelberg with a good time and explanations around the castle, then time in the old city area. Back to Frankfurt and join the Rhine River cruise tour which was a delight, the meal at one of the hotels along the river was interesting!!!!
A fantasic day out with a very knowlegeable tour guide. Would recommend this to anyone.
Enter your review here. The trip left on time. The coach was very clean and comfortable. The tour guide was excellent! We met some great tourists and everyone had wonderful experience. I highly recommend this trip!
Seemed like a quite rushed tour, but managed to see what I expected of Heidelberg and the fortress (or castle - depending on who you speak to) after a previous visit many years ago. It was a reasonably quick trip from Frankfurt and back, then pick up the Rhine Cruise tour in the afternoon. Both gave an insight into each region, but I suggest taking more time and do the visits without the crowds.
This tour combination was the perfect way to spend the one day I had to see a bit of Germany. The Heidelberg tour was great, and the Rhine boat cruise was great fro viewing the numerous castles along the river. The dinner was good, though not exactly German - baked chicken, french fries, and something similar to coleslaw. The wine tasting was a little disappointing. We were given four, tiny, plastic shot glasses, each about 1/3 full of different wines from one particular vineyard. Not quite what I'm used to for wine tastings, but at least the hostess was very entertaining during the event. She was also fluent in all four languages spoken by our group - German, English, Spanish, and Chinese! The tour guide was also very good, and tri-lingual, which set the entire group at ease early, making for a more pleasant time.
We did the Half day combined tour Heidelberg in the morning and then the Rhine River Curise. Heidelberg was wonderful and so was the cruise. No toilets at the office was of concern as we used the hotel across the road and got some nasty looks from the doorman. Such a big tour company should have these facilities.
