I am not a Christian, but the majestic beauty of the statue of the Redeemer inspired spiritual joy in me, as it seemed to inspire in most visitors, young and old alike. Apart from being a wonderful piece of artistic engineering, the Redeemer statue is unique and absolutely fantastic.

Corcovado is the place you have to see when you visit Rio. It was cloudy on day of our tour with absolutely no view but even than it was worth to go. Go by train by the tropical forest and to see Christ Redeemer Statue in passing clouds was unforgotten experience. The bus was convenient and on time.

The tour was okay, but on the trip back to the hotel the bus driver drove through a stop sign at a intersection and collided with a car. Caused quit a delay and of course concern about my safety!

Nice train ride to the top of Corcovado. At the top where Christ the Redeemer statue stands, it was too crowded and many tourists were irreverent. No fault of the tour but detracted from the experience. Overall good value and well worth doing.

Tour guide was not pleasant, not organized. Had to wait ridiculous amount of time to see Christ the Redeemer, schedule should have been adjusted so we didn't all get there at once. Tour guide was pushing a store in town and we could have enjoyed the funicular station better, instead of hanging in a square for an hour. As a result tour ran 1.5 hours over to see very little.
