This was a wonderful experience! I was upset when we had to change dates and was given the run-around in several ways and on separate occasions, so I went into this tour not trusting our arrangements. I think the problems were Viator. The tour company in Italy was excellent--very attentive and accommodating to our needs. They stayed with us, never leaving us alone until our next guide/bus/hotel appointment was secured. The guides were excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and they spoke great English. The tour itself was beautiful and well planned out, with plenty of free time. The area is a must see area -- every part of the trip -- and I would not go to Italy without seeing this part of it! We were in Italy 11 days, and this 3-day tour was our favorite part of the entire vacation!

It was organized perfectly, especially in Sorrento and Capri.

The trip was absolutely worth it. The tour operators were very professional and organised in handling this tour. The staff was very accommodating and made us feel well looked after. The local guides in Pompeii and Capri were very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and animated. The trivia they added to their explanations made the visits more real and interesting. They, together with the local coordinator for the Sorrento, Naples and Capri area, and the tour guide from Rome to Naples and Pompeii, spoke English, Spanish and German very well. It was amazing how they can switch from one language to another and say exactly the same thing. The hotel in Sorrento was fabulous and the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Food was abundant everywhere they took us for meals. Sorrento, Pompeii and Capri were great places to see and definitely money well spent. However, Naples didn't really have much to show. In fact, I was a bit disappointed with the place. The third day in Sorrento was also a perfect way to cap the trip. It gave us enough time to explore the place on our own. The tour operators don't make you feel rushed. Even if we were following a schedule, they still had the ability to make us feel relaxed and having a lot of free time to explore the places on our own.

This tour is AMAZING! The Ambasciatori in Sorrento is one of the most beautiful hotels we've been to. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. The dinners were delicious. If I had to complain about something I'd say the tour of Naples was not very long, wish it was longer and the tour of Pompeii was a little too long. But, very educational and interesting. Capri was fun, it was a little unorganized. We waited a while for our boat to the Blue Grotto, then we waited a long time bobbing up and down in the water to actually go inside the grotto. Wish we had a little tour of the island itself besides just walking to the shopping area. The hotel in Sorrento was my favorite part of the trip. Glad we stayed there the extra night!

This was a really good tour, Sorrento is a beautiful city to see, as is Capri. The shopping in Sorrento is great, so the day of leisure is perfect. Pompeii is also a definite must do; there's lots of history there so a tour guide is appropriate to get a true understanding. Overall, we had a good three days. The hotel we stayed at in Sorrento was also very nice, with great food!!

This was an awesome trip! The Pompeii trip could have been organised better, and the lunch was not good value for money. Hotel Ambasciattori was superb and trips to Capri were lovely, and we could have done with a few more hours.

The Ambascatori Hotel was sensational and the highlight of the tour. The meals there were excellent. The tour staff looked after us well when, through no fault of them or us, we missed the bus! However, the lunches provided on the tour at Pompeii and Anacapri were awful.

Pompeii and Capri are the highlights of this trip. The accommodation and meals provided are excellent. The coach seemed cramped and lacked leg-room. The guides spoke English but not always clearly, and as there were people who spoke other languages on the tour the guides had to give their information in two languages. This became annoying. Also our guides changed over the three days and the quality of guides varied. It is a worthwhile excursion, but better quality guides and a more comfortable coach would have improved our experience.

The trip picked the highlights of each area and allowed us to see a lot in a short amount of time. The city tour of Naples was short, but I think we saw the best of Naples. We had heard many comments about security there and thus were more comfortable being on a guided tour. Pompeii was fabulous, but our guide spoke very poor English, so we did most of our touring on our own. I wished I had studied the area more thoroughly before our trip. Our accommodations in Sorrento were superb! Five star all the way! I could have spent more time there. Capri was a tourist trap, and the Blue Grotto is not worth the time.

Other than the language barrier, most of these translators had to translate in at least 3 languages and sometimes got them mixed up--I was amazed and really felt stupid that I'm hard pressed to even speak 10 words in any language other than my own! The trip was great, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see highlights of Italy in a short period of time.

The travel tour was unorganized. Too many different tour guides and a lot of wasted time waiting for them or other people.
