the trip was amazing, we had so much fun, the guides were greatmultilingual, the hotels were nice, especially the one in Amalfi, the company is very professional, everything was exactly on time, they treated us very well, they even sent us a private car Mercedes-Benz when there was nobody besides us going from pompeii to amalfi.
the whole experience was lovely, we will definitely do again with viator, and we do recommend it to everyone.
I booked this on the Internet and had no idea if it would be decent or not it just accommodated our 6 day time frame perfectly. i highly recommend itt( upgrade the Rome hotel) I I booked a few excursions with them. Genny (tour contact in Rome)alwayavailable. My absolute favorite was the Amalfi Coast
My husband and I thought that this was a great tour! The tour guides were great. We thought the price was great.
The hotels were very nice. The guided tours are a must because you would miss so much history the guides made it so enjoyable.. Only my friend and I went on to Amalfi by private driver and we were on our own. What fabulous place wish I had stayed a few days longer. It was a fun trip
Walking tour of Rome was fantastic with great guide (Guido). Rome hotel convenient (but unsafe) location. Tours of Naples and Pompeii were disappointing as guide didn't have great English. Amalfi hotel great location but very dated. On return bus sat unnecessarily for 1 hour in Naples.
Our experience on this part of the trip was uneven. The hotels (gioberti and morgani) were not located in
a neighborhood that we felt comfortable in. We did love The Amalfi coast , Pompeii and the local guide were excellent. Marina the guide who accompanied us spoke English poorly so the group could not understand her. Hotel in Amalfi great.
The Amalfi coast and hotel excelsior were good but lots of free time kills the purpose of an "escorted tour" though especially for first time visitors with poor Italian. The tour guides at Pompeii and Rome didn't give much historical background and just wanted to get done.Rosa in the bus was good.
THE TOUR ON A WHOLE WAS A GOOD GETAWAY ,THE BUS TO THE AMALFI COAST DID NOT TAKE US TO NAPLES,POMPEII SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT ANNYBODY OVER 60 SHOULD BEWARE AS WALKING AMONG THE RUINS WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE AND ON RETURNING TO OUR ROME HOTEL THE BUS DID NOT STOP WERE IT HAD PICKED US UP SO THOSE IN THEIR 70 'S HAD TO DRAG THE BAGS DOWN TWO BLOCKS .I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS AS MY MOTHER IN LAW WAS WITH US AND THIS WAS A BIG PROBLEM,WHY DID THEY NOT RETURN US TO OUR START POINT PICK UP POINT AT THE HOTEL.WE WERE STILL ON THE BUS NOT RECOGNISING THE STREET AND THEY CALLED OUT OUR NAMES AND TOLD US OUR BAGS WERE ON THE STREET,ALSO THAT THE GUIDE ON THE RETURN TRIP DID NOT GIVE US ANY INFO ON OUR ROUTE AS WE WENT ON OUR WAY BACK TO ROME.
