This was a great tour and what made it so was our guide, Georgia, who was animated and made you feel like she was telling the story for the first time about all the history of Hadrian and the lovely gardens of Villa d'Este. Hadrian's Villa is HUGE...another Roman experience that it is beneficial to have a guide that knows the ins and outs.

The trip to Hardian's Villa and Villa d'Este was perfect. We met with out tour guide at Re di Roma and she spoke perfect english. On the semi-airconditioned bus to Hadrian's Villa she gave us a huge histroy background on Hardrian, the great 5 emperors, and the surrounding area. The Hadrian's Villa tour was very well done, but the last place we saw was the huge pool with statues aligning it. We only stayed a brief moment there to take pictures. She gave the history lesson of the are for a good 3-5 minutes. It is only recommended that she were to give the lesson at the pool so that we could take pictures since it was the highligted part of Hadrian's Villa. We were short on time due to some mishaps and traffic on the way to Hadrian's Villa and we didn't want Villa d'Este to close on us, however, it would've been nice to take more pictures of the pool and maybe 3-5 minutes to try to buy a souvenir before leaving. Villa d'Este was unexpectedly amazing. The tourguide provided lots of knowledge of the area, background history and allowed us to freely roam when we were there. She even recommended things for those who just wanted to eat/ relax vs see all the waterfalls and gardens. Overall for a 4-5 hour afternoon trip this was perfect. Didn't take all day and we still got what we needed from the sites vs doing it on our own.

My wife and I were very pleased with all aspects of our trip to Villa d"Este and Hardrian's Villa. Fortunately, we were blessed with perfect weather which added to our very positive experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. Since my wife has Parkinson's Disease we were, at first, apprehensive that we might lag too far behind to enjoy the information she passed on, however, she led our small group of 7 in such a manner as to allow us to keep up and enjoy, fully, the discussions. Without question we would recommend this trip to our friends. Regards, Joel and Birthe Myers, USA

Very enjoyable trip! Amazing Roman remains at Hadrian's Villa made more enjoyable by a well informed and entertaining commentary by a native English speaker. Views from Tivoli are brilliant and the Villa d'Este gardens are delightful. Comfortable air conditioned coach driven by pleasant young man. A must see!

The trip to Tivoli was extraordinary!! I enjoyed it so much! Our guide Rebecca breathed life into the ruins of Hadrian's Villa with her illuminating and personal stories of Emperor Hadrian's life, loves and achievments, which are many and of great importance throughout Roma and its ancient empire. The contrasting Villa d'Este allowed us to imagine how magnificent Hadrian's Villa would have been in the Emperors day. The gardens and grounds of both Villa's are breathtaking and not to be missed.

Where to begin? The scale of both Hadrian's villa and the gardens at the Villa d'Este have to be seen to be appreciated. Also nice to escape the bustle of Rome for a few hours. Think I'll always remember the bird song in the stillness. Georgia is very knowledgeable and her commentary added significantly to my understanding of both sights. I'd also like to thank her for suggesting a visit to San Clemente in my few remaining hours in Rome. Another little gem.
