We had a wonderful time!!! Beautiful scenery, Orvieto was a lovely small village perched on a hill top, we would love to visit again. Lunch was absolutely delicious, Italians know how to cook flavoursome dishes. So much to see in Asssis, we were there in winter and it was still a wonderful place to visit, our guides were very informative. The whole day was exceptionally well organised with a small group of 10. Definitely a great way to spend a day. I highly recommend this tour!
Excelente día, felicitaciones a ambas guías y chofer del bus. Todos muy amables. Excelente excursión totalmente recomendable
Great service! Assisi and Orvieto are two wonderful towns!
This was well organized and very relaxed. The guide was excellent and made each of us feel like extended family.
Very good and informative service from the guide .Both her and the coach driver were very helpful. We were picked up from our hotel and dropped off near the hotel after the tour which we both enjoyed, all in all a day very well spent.
This was a full day trip with lunch. The tour was very comprehensive, and the guide- Stefano- gave us interesting information about the area. Would definitely recommend this tour to others....great time in the countryside outside of Rome, and the lunch at Podere Bella was delicious, and the location charming and quaint. Beautiful country areas.
All in all, I found that for all the 4 Viatours I booked for Rome, all lived up to and exceeded e xpectations.
It uses fine, professional tour companies in Rome. I found no fault whatsoever in any I had taken, and have been educated by each tour and it's guides. And I booked all 4 tours (for 4 diff days) in just one phone call! Thanks Viatour, and all the tour companies!!
Absolutely wonderful. Greenline tours did an excellent job. Bus and driver top class. Guides full of enthusiasm etc. would have preferred less time in Orvieto and more in Assisi. No time to explore shops. Or perhaps day trip to Assisi only ? Superbly organised and well worth the money. Thank you.
The scenic trip from Rome to Orvieto and Assisi is amazing. The view is filled with beautiful villas, colorful scenery, olive groves and vineyards. Orvieto is an Etruscan city that still carries the flavor of the era. It is great to know that it can only be reached by tram. The sacred town of Assisi is a place that everyone should visit. It is a place to sit and reflect. The restaurant we ate was enjoyable. Keep using this restaurant in the quaint valley.
This tour is very comprehensive and informative. I strongly recommend this tour. We enjoyed the towns immensely. The food was good too and typically Italian.
Excellent selection of venues. Double translation is tedious and obviously less learned when two translations are necessary. Orvieto required more time than we were given. Duomo was magnificent. I was worried about the busses having no toilets but it worked because the sections of the journey were reasonably brief. Assisi was wonderful for both tour and spiritual reasons. Some of its structural and architectural magnificence was only learned from the booklet I bought. No big deal. The local guide was breathless doing sometimes three translations. As it rained periodically her tour seemed hurried but perhaps not. I would have preferred more time at the mountain top than the 20 minute free time through the Santa Maria of the Angels at the end of the tour. The fact that it had within it the small church St Francis first prayed in was probably what made it worth it. The sheer number, majesty and beauty of the churches we visited in Rome and elsewhere made his humble structure unique. The lunch was in a nice setting and good. I would have preferred an all inclusive lunch rather than the awkward and dubious personal billing hurried at the end for what were described as "extras.".
I was so looking forward to this trip and was not disappointed by Mara and her knowledge and the beautiful towns sere just heavenly! My only sad point was we were to long enough in Orvieto, what a gem to be experienced. Truly beautiful, the Duomo was heavenly, will take your breath away. We stopped for a lovely little lunch, was a pleasant stopover before travelling on to Assisi .
The town, just like Orvieto was a wonderful step back in time in regards to architecture but don't let this fool you, the shops for trinkets, wine, clothes or food were of wonderful standards and fashionable, a must do for the ladies, take your husbands to carry the shopping!
Rained the whole day but tour guide made the day very interesting, Worth while trip and pleased we visited
Great meal, guides were well versed. Clean motor coach. Would have liked more time to shop, meander on my own in Assissi.
