This was a great tour out of the city of Rome. Had a relaxing time with a small group. The great Pasta meal was an added bonus!
This is trip is not to be missed if you have a few days in Rome. The Tour guide was excellent and the driver went out of his way to show us special views. The fantastic food and Frascati wine was an additional bonus that we weren't aware of when we booked. This trip is amazing value for money- thank you!
As I had been to Rome before I thought this would be something different to do and get out of the city. So glad I did, seeing a bit of the countryside, having a meal in the lovely town of Frascati and seeing the magnificent views from higher up. Would highly recommend this tour to see a little bit more than just the city of Rome.
I really enjoyed this tour, the roman countryside is a soothing alternative to the city and the food/wine was very good. Don't miss out on this tour.
It was excellent value for money the meal was really tasty I would recommend it as did the rest of the family
This was a highlight on our trip! Tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Frascati was and the lunch w/ wine was just perfect. We bought two bottles of wine.
excellent guide - fantastic locations - light meal in frascati with the local frascati wine was a brilliant end to the itinerary
We liked all the tours and this one as well. I think it took a bit more than a half day and there was a lot to see. We did not actually tour a castle. It was a drive buy. We had a lunch provided and wine at a nice resturant. It was not a winery as we thought when signing up. Read the tour offering closely. Everyone was pretty happy on the way back as you could drink all you wanted.
Omg this was a great tour, very scenic and we could not believe the food and wine they served. Restaurant owners where wonderful. Would highly recommend this tour
This tour was absolutely fabulous. We were picked up on time, driven to the tour facility, greeted by the tour guide who was amazing, knowledgeable, informative, and most of all very entertaining! I would recommend this tour to anyone staying in Rome for a few days.
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wine and food servered. Guide was wonderful
Great tour to the Castelli Romani! A nice change from the hustle and bustle of Rome, this is certainly a must do! Lovely lunch included, beautiful views of the Roman countryside and Lake Albano.
This tour was very enjoyable. It was nice to see another part of Italy outside of Rome. The wine and delicious food in Frascati was an unexpected treat on this tour.
Very interesting itinerary and Kathleen our guide was excellent.
This was a lovely way to spend an afternoon exploring the area out side of Rome. I had never heard of Castelli Romani but was looking for a way to experience some of the countryside around the city. The views of the charming hilltop towns were lovely, and it was nice to stop to get a view of the Pope's summer residence of Castelgandolfo from Lake Albano. The highlight was a walk through the town of Frascati with a stop for a lovely snack and local white wine. I look forward to visiting the area again!
Great half day tour. Perfect if you want to leave the hectic Rome crowds and see the countryside
Beautiful views, but too much walking. Wonderful light meal all except the music.
This tour was very good. The restaurant in Frascati was great and the food was amazing. Only complaint is that we did not stop at Castel Gandolfo as the former Pope Benedict now lives there so this should be updated in the description but otherwise it was a fun half day tour from Rome.
This was a nice half day away from Rome. We visited Lake Albano and toured through many of the small towns on they was to frascati. Our dinner was at a restaurant with a view to amaze and the food didn't disappoint either. The guide and driver were friendly and had good stories to tell. It was a great break away from touring the sites and getting to see a bit more of small town Italy.
This was an enjoyable tour we took a short coach trip outside Rome and saw Castel Gandolfo and Lake Albano and saw, at a distance, the Papal Palace - the Popes' summer residence, though it is not used by Pope Francis. We saw the picturesque town of Rocca di Papa and then stopped in Frascati where we were served platters of cold meats, cheese and vegetables and a glass of Frascati. It was very pleasant
Something to consider when in Rome to see outside of the City . Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, the tour ended with a nice meal and wine.
Not enough opportunity to take pictures of the Papal residence. Lunch was excellent though.
The guide was well informed and interesting. We found the trip to be a welcome break from exploring urban enclaves. The stop at Lake Albano was a delight but the highlight was the stop at Frascati. The local food prepared for us was outstanding, and strolling through the small town in the late afternoon gave a welcome window on local style. Good value for the money.
