Driver was very good and helpful for our questions and concerns - I would never hesitate to recommend Viator Tours! They were very good!
We only had a limited amount of time in Rome from our cruise ship dock so we chose the Viator transfer from the cruise port to Rome. I highly recommend it if you are coming in from a cruise ship with limited time. The cruise ships count on their passengers to generate revenue off off their excursions and transfers. Both my friend and I have already been to Rome so we didn't want to spend $300+ on a guided tour the ship was offering or a $39/pp shared shuttle from the cruise port to Rome. Be careful w the cruise shuttles because you typically have to wait for all their customer's who booked their excursions to get off the ship and then wait for enough people to fill up shuttles for $39/pp which typically only leave every 30 minutes. We had a limited amount of time in Rome and didn't want to be held up by a shuttle. Instead, we paid less for 2 people and were picked up by a private Viator driver who is native to Rome and knows short cuts to avoid traffic. A ride in style and more time to explore Rome:)
Excellent service in a clean and comfortable vehicle. Driver showed up ahead of time and we left as soon as he had put our luggage in the trunk of the car.

Some difficulty finding driver in the confusion at the port. We overestimated the length of time it would take to disembark the ship. We disembarked 1 hour earlier than planned. The driver was waiting but not in an area where we could find him. It took 45 minutes before we connected. The drive to Rome was enjoyable as the driver pointed out sights along the way. Vehicle was very clean and comfortable.
The service was efficient, arriving on time both at the port and in Rome. The only reason I would not rate 5 stars is because one of the drivers spoke virtually no English, and the other spoke just enough to get by. We were unsure of where we were to be picked up due to the communication issue. All worked out well, though. I would recommend the service, but would suggest having drivers fluent in the language of the party being serviced.

On time, straight from the quay to the hotel.....nice and simple.
The driver arrived a short while after we disembarked the ship but the timing of this is imprecise at best. After that the rest of the transfer was exceptional. I would certainly do this again.

This transfer was handled efficiently. My 3-star rating is only because the driver spoke little English so the "frills" we've enjoyed on transfers in the past, where the drivers gave a running commentary on things, didn't happen with this driver. He picked us up on time and got us to our Rome hotel without any issues. We would use Viator again.
The driver parked far from the cruise ship and he could only handle two of my suitcases, so I dragged my other two suitcases to his car. I was hoping he'd say "leave them hear and I will come back for them" or I'll drive the car up to the ship's unloading area, but he did not.
