Although I cannot remember the name of our morning tour guide. She did an excellent job of informing us about the history of the different buildings in the center of Rome. I appreciated that she warned us about the gypsies and other things to be cautious about regarding when traveling in Rome. Our afternoon tour guide, Max, was an excellent and funny tour guide. I greatly enjoyed listening to him explain the different tour sites we visited. This tour was a great tour and if I ever get an opportunity to visit Rome again, I will definitely book another tour.
The morning tour was very nice and we had a lunch, as part of our tour, that was MUCH nicer than we were expecting. The afternoon tour was my favorite part. The Forum most certainly activated my imagination and I could have stayed much longer just seeing it as it once was. The Colosseum was our last stop and our guide seemed extremely knowledgeable. Surprise! He was a retired Archeology professor who had even supervised college students involved in archeological digs at The Colosseum. What a wonderful opportunity to ask questions and learn more than we could have expected to. Thanks Viator!
Great guide - Max - and great tour. Would recommend highly for those that want one day tour of Rome.
Green line tours were great, the tour guide was very knowledgable and personable, the tour bus we used to transport was in very good shape and clean. Over all excellent experience.
Gwen is absolutely outstanding. We have taken many tours over many years in several cities in Europe, and this is probably the single best one. Gwen knows the Trastevere and the Jewish Quarter of Rome incredibly well, and she is smart and articulate. The tour is well planned, with some walking and some sitting. It was a great pleasure. Highest rating.
Great tour guide, used audio headset to keep us informed. Easy to understand, good coverage of must see sights
A great day with a great guide. There is SO MUCH art in Rome (and all of Italy, really) that the guide could be talking every second of the tour. I think they do a good job covering the highlights. If you majored in art history, you're going to know more than everyone else on the tour -- but you'll enjoy yourself, too.
A wonderful experience. Walking tours are so much fun. Our guide Max is amazing. He has so much knowledge and a great sense of humor and I love the way he talks with his hands. I would recommend this to everyone.
Great have a guide to explain all there is to see on the tour, our guides knowledge was expansive, and made our tour far more interesting and informative
I am glad that we took this tour on day one of our visit to Rome because it gave us an excellent overview of the city. Again, the tour guide was great and had a great sense of humor!

A fantastic day! Both the morning and afternoon tours were wonderful and the guides were so knowledgeable. We appreciated the professionism and friendliness of the guides and drivers.
Amazing tour with our amazing guide Massimo. It is a very easy and scenic walking tour, but Massimo not only added excellent information about each historic site, but kept us entertained the entire time with his witty sense of humor. We did this tour combined with the afternoon Colosseum tour. It included lunch. If you have limited time, I would higly recommend this tour, it includes skip the line at both the Vatican and the Colosseum which I would highly recommend. The line into St. Peter's Basically looked to be a 1/2 mile long, with this tour, we simply walked right in.
Great tour, informative guide who had time for any questions. Nice steady pace and I liked the headsets, it allowed you to stop and look at stuff without loosing group contact. It was a shame that the hotel I was in wasn't part of the pick ups but getting to the pick coach point was part of the adventure. We went for the half day tour which gave us the flexibility to drop off at the end and do our own thing. The full day tour would have been far to hard on the legs as my wife suffers a bit with walking great distances. Most of this tour is on foot and this is not clear in the booking details. Would definitely use again.
We had a great morning tour, with Massimo with the yellow umbrella! We took a short coach ride from the tour company offices, close to Termini station, very easy to find, down to the main area of classical architecture. Massimo walked us around and was very helpful and informative, over our personal audio system. We particularly enjoyed the Pantheon. We then took a leisurely walk over the Tiber river, along the embankment to the Vatican. Massimo gave us some time in St Peter's square then we entered the basilica, skipping the line (and it was long.....). Be careful about security as you go into the basilica, they screen your bags, make sure you put anything even slightly iffy on the tray rather than leave in your bag (as I did. Very embarrassing, it was the bottle opener that set the scanner off). St Peter's is a truly amazing place to visit. Massimo gave us lots of info and we were given plenty of time to take photos - which are allowed outside of services as the art is mosaic rather than painted.
After the basilica, more time in the Square followed by coach pickup back to the agents office. A truly memorable morning. Book with confidence, and I hope Massimo is your guide too!
We were also lucky to be blessed by the Pope.
Informative and friendly guide. A great way to see the sights and get a feel for the history and culture.
Fantastic tour, the guide was really informative, we saw everything we had hoped to see and more, with the added bonus of seeing the Pope make his address in St. Peter's Square.
Excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Green line tours are definitely professional and well organized.
This tour was fabulous because our guide, Massimo, was so very informative about Rome's past. Walking through most of this tour worked out great because it gave us a chance to actually interact with the "life blood" of Rome.
Great tour! We saw so much in such a short time. I definitely recommend it for those going to Rome. City is too big to tackle on your own without an informed guide.
