A long tireing day, but worth it as the cruise we were doing called in for Florence on a Monday when both Accadamia and Uffizi galleries are closed.
The day was long, but well worth the trip. Our only regret was we didn't have more free time in Florence to shop on our own. The guide was helpful and seeing the statue of David made it all worthwhile.
The lady on the bus was so nice and patient and sweet. She was very personable and friendly.
The tour guide of the museum was very informative and kind. The only thing I didn't get was the
tour to a leather factory to buy things. This was most curious. I'm not sure if your tour company gets
a percentage of the profits from tourists. odd. But I love the bus driver and the guide.
Our tour was truly wonderful - our Tour Guide a young woman ... can't recall her name now was really excellent, answered all of our questions and made our entry to the sites visited very smooth - she even gave me a sweet bracelet from one of the local artisans. It was a great intro to Istanbul since we were only there for a short period of time - highly recommend this.
Marina and Driver Salvatore were excellent ....dont expect to see everything ...Florence definitely needs couple of days!
Overall good tour and very comfortable bus
Really enjoyed the tour and food. Wish there had been time to visit the Uffizi as well. Perhaps, if we had taken a fast train....
This tour was fantastic saw a lot and learnt a lot about Florence Thankyou
Fantastic trip to Florence. The lunch was great. If you are looking to purchase a
Eat her jacket the trip to the leather place is a good place to start. No hard sell and we found some things with great discount. The leather is beautifully soft and well made. Yes it would have been great for some more free time but then you may as well have stayed for a few nights in Florence instead of just doing a day tour.
Except for the heat, which they could not control, it was great! No lines, great lunch, nice transportation and guides
Loved it! There was a fair amount of driving but it was worth it. Lovely group and guide.
Loved Florence, our trip was good except our stop on the way for refreshments was so crowded no time for coffee just a quick snack. Tour in Florence was great, would have liked to have visited the bridges we caught a cab very hurried to see bridges and lookout all in half an hour preferred to have done that instead of the Gold and Leather shop. Our guide was very good. Overall very good.
The day trip tour to Florence was the highlight of our week long stay in Rome. The tour guide spoke multiple languages very impressively and demonstrated excellent knowledge of items that were relevant to observe. The organization was good - with virtually everything on the schedule coming in near the appointed time. The lunch meal included in the price was surprisingly nice, and it provided for a great atmosphere to stop and visit with our fellow tour goers.
This trip was well worth it. We had 2 separate guides, one for Florence and one primarily for the bus. We visited all the highlights and our local guide gave an excellent overview of the statue of David. Lunch was a bit late, but the food was delicious and very filling after a long day of walking. Towards the afternoon, we had about 1.5 hours to roam Florence on our own and explore the gold and leather shop.
It's an amazing city which you definitely need more days to know, but if you don't have much time this is the perfect tour!
