It would have been nice to stop somewhere for breakfast since we had to leave so early. Could also have had more time in the Gallery. Otherwise it was quite nice.

The trip to Florence was beautiful. However, we felt time was an issue (we needed more of it!).

Watch out for the reclining seats on the tour bus. You won't have much room at all for your legs. Other than that, the tour was excellent in every way.

We had a really good day. We were collected outside the door of our accommodation and left back there. Food was good. And we got to see the most important parts of Florence! A must do.

A good tour, but we had some downtime because of museum scheduling, which led to an unnecessary hurry-up feeling. Still, we felt we benefited from it, and got to experience Florence.

Six of the travellers worked for the tour company and spoilt the outward journey by talking over the tour guide. On the return journey, we were diverted in order that they could be dropped off near to their homes. The tour itself only took 2 and a half hours and consisted of the museum of fine arts and the two squares. We were in the main square, which had some fine places to eat, but we were walked 20 minutes to a local trattoria away from the main sites. I feel that it would have been better to eat at the main area; the hour we were given to shop and stroll by ourselves would not have been so wasted. This trip was not up to the usual standards. A long coach trip for not very much.

I was disappointed that they didn't give us a map & that we were told to go on our own to visit the Ponte Vecchio. The tour finally left Rome at 8:30am, and the tour operator was not the supplier on the voucher.

It was alright. We didn't have time to do anything. The tour was done in English and Spanish. Lunch was alright-not anything to write home about. The house wine was disappointing. For being in Tuscany I expected a bit more. It was great to have the bus ride and everything but it wasn't a great tour. The tour guide was very nice and we liked her.

Group was too large covering three different languages, could have covered more grounds with a smaller group and one language. One day is not long enough for three translations of one thing.

Unfortunately the tour guide was not that great and kept walking far in advance not looking back to see if we were all together. Major attractions were not pointed out for photo opportunities and the the lunch was very terrible and wasted time when we could have been exploring the city sights.

We spent five days in Italy and we were really looking forward to going to Florence as we had heard it was the most beautiful city in Europe. Though Florence is a beautiful city it is not at all what we expected. Having spent a couple of days in Edinburgh we envisioned a city of that beauty. Boy were we wrong. It is not even in the same class as Edinburgh. Florence does have its attractions though like the David and its gorgeous churches, however I would recommend doing this on your own. The touring company we took was the same company we took for our Naples and Pompeii tour and they are just awful. Mind you I am not a picky person. However, the constant out of the way stops to obvious business partners to sell us things, really annoyed me and wife. Due to those stops we barely got anytime in Florence and were basically rushed out of everywhere we went. You would be better off taking a quick train to Florence from Rome rather than a 4 year bus ride with this touring company and exploring the city yourself. The cost to see the David is maybe 10 euros a person. So if your curious about seeing Florence, though I believe you will be disappointed, trust us your better off visiting Florence on your own.

The train is a better option than taking a bus for 4 hours from Rome to Florence and another 4 hours back. The tour guide didn't seem to know what restaurant to take us to, and we went through the streets looking for it, going back and forth. After the lunch, our guide disappeared, and another guide took us to the site, but she was not sure where it was. Our group decided to stay put and wait for the other guide. Our time was consumed waiting for each other, and we missed the highlights of our trip. There was no audio device on such a big group.

I loved Florence, but stay overnight to enjoy this town. A one day trip is not worth it.

When we took this trip we were told the bus tour was 2 hours. It was actually 4 due in part to the bus driver. It seemed he was trying to pick up the tour guide who was not very good at what she was doing. Most of what came out of her mouth seemed to be quite monotone and her personality just didn't seem to fit a tour guide. The highlight of the tour was the visit to the museum where there are many works done by Michelangelo. Don't expect to take pictures, that is strictly forbidden in the museum. The statue of David is amazing to say the very least. There was not enough free time here so instead of taking the bus back, another 4 hours, we decided to take the train. Just an hour, if you are visiting Florence I would recommend the train not a tour bus!!!
