It was OK, but could have been better

Interesting, a little grisly. Guide suggested Cucphin Monks' crypt for next day which was good and strange.

I come from the southern part of the U.S. where we have plenty of tales of ghosts and mysterious occurrences and had high hopes for a tour of such an old city that claims to be a ghost and mystery tour. What I got was a mildly interesting evening tour that took me places I might not have stumbled across otherwise, but there was only a brief mention of ghosts and not particularly mysterious! It was nice probably just not what I'd expected!

I was expecting more ghost stories. The guide was very nice and was thorough in his explanations.

The stories where a bit lame, more folklore than scary, and I like scary. However, it was interesting and a bit of a giggle. If nothing else, the guide historian was passionate about his stuff and kept you engaged.

The guide was great, very charismatic and entertaining. Most of the legends and stories he told were from around the same time period, the 18th-19th centuries, and not in a particularly interesting part of the city. I was expecting something a little more mysterious and/or scary, too.

Some good stories, could have done with a bit more drama in them. Could do with a torch to point out several of the features that were shown.

The walking pace was quite fast on darkened, uneven streets. Definitely not a tour for people with ankle or knee mobility conditions. I wouldn't say this tour was full of mystery or puzzles to work out, more of a historical night tour of buildings with myths and legends attached to them. The tour guide was very enthusiastic and passionate on the topics he was talking about. He was quite free with his language, so if you are easily offended with swear words or want to bring along your children, think twice about this tour.

And at the end of the tour the guide offered assistance to find your way back to your hotel as the tour finishes in a different spot from where you start. The tour started about 15-20 minutes late, which meant we had to navigate back to our hotel after 11:30pm.

Guide was great but tour lacked spunk. But then I come from New Orleans and we "DO" ghost walks in our sleep.

This tour was pretty interesting, but the tour guide was about ten minutes late for showing up to begin the tour! This was very inconvenient and inconsiderate, since my guests and I were depending on the tour to end on time in order to catch a train back to our hotel. Please make sure that the guides show up on time! We ended up having to pay extra for transportation back to our hotel, since the tour went past the time that it was supposed to due to the tour guide's tardiness.

Very interesting, however, the guide walked too fast. Not everyone can walk that fast, and the group was almost trotting to keep up. It is not enjoyable when you have to almost run or be left behind.

Tour guide was good - but not really enough haunted stories.

We enjoyed three or four interesting ghost stories and a nice tour of the city at night.

It was nice to see the city at night with all the lights, and the guide was enthusiastic.

This could have been better. Felt a bit disjointed and rushed.

Not recommended

Was a bit of a let down. The tour guide was friendly enough but the stories were lame and didn't really walk to the most famous parts of Rome.
