Terrific excursion to Tivoli. Enjoyed Hadrian's Villa and also the Villa d'Este. Would have liked slightly more time to explore the gardens of the Villa d'Este. Unfortunately, we hit Rome traffic on the return to our hotel, which made for a long day. This tour might have worked out better for us had it been in the morning and not at 2 PM. Still, we were glad we got to see both sights.

Great experience. Tour guide was a little bit diverted by the 2 Russian ladies on board, and I wish he could have given us more attention. He was dealing with several languages at same time. Make sure you specify English only. But the locations and the sights are not to be missed.

We went to Villa d'Este and the gardens first, and then our guide told us that it was a very long walk to Hadrian's Villa, so he discouraged us from going. When we went to pick up the people that had gone, it didn't look like it would have been that difficult a walk. Also, I'm sure we had paid for the entrance fee in our tickets, but we got no reimbursement for it. He also rushed us through everything, and a lot of people had a hard time keeping up with him. I don't think he ever looked in back of him to see how many were following.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very interesting. The Villa d'Este gardens were amazing, and to go inside the villa was an unexpected bonus. Hadrian's Villa was incredible, and it would have been nice to have had a bit longer there.

Villa d'Este is absolutely fabulous. Tour is not long enough to take in Hadrian's Villa and needs to be extended by about 2 hours. Tour guide was extremely funny and informative.

Tivoli Gardens were beautiful! A great way to spend the afternoon away from the city.

Villa d'Este was beautiful. Would have preferred to have more time there and skip Hadrian's Villa. Guide was very good.

Lovely gardens - worth the visit. The tour guide was a bit distracted, and not very forthcoming with information.

While we enjoyed the Villa very much, we did not get to the ruins because there wasn't enough time to look around both without rushing. We were on holiday, so a little more time, even half an hour, would have been nice.

Villa d' Este was beautiful, but be warned that the walks are steep. However, the fountains are worth the walk. Hadrian's Villa is an uphill walk to wonderful ruins.

Our driver/guide was charming and so knowledgeable, and his enthusiasm really made the experience twice as enjoyable. The only quibble is seeing so little of Hadrian's Villa.

Should start earlier, as there is no time to enjoy gardens if going to Hadrian's Villa.
