We never would have learned or seen all we did on our own. We had a local guide who was fantastic & very entertaining! I would recommend this to friends even though we usually don't like guided tours. We like to explore on our own, but if we had done it here we would have missed out on so much.

It was well worth spending a day on this tour, especially Pompeii, which was breathtaking. The lunch was very average, but the guide was dynamite! He had a wicked sense of humour and transported us back to the early ages. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing experience despite the terrible weather. The guide was very good, and made it all very interesting. It is such a huge place, it would have been easy to miss out on some of the important buildings. The visit to Naples was a waste, as it was raining so much, but I'm sure things would have looked good in the sun. Beware of being taken to expensive retail outlets.

There were a lot of complaints on this site from previous reviewers, which I feel were really unfair. The trip was excellent, the tour delivers exactly what was promised, the guide is knowledgeable, lunch was good, and bus stops on route were well timed; it's good to get out to stretch your legs around halfway on the route. We felt the two hours spent in the ruins were long enough to see what it is all about.

Awesome tour! Check out the outdoor flea market when you finish eating. We found great deals on all sorts of items.

It was an excellent trip. We were picked up at our hotel on time, transferred to the touring coach as planned, and had an excellent young guide who spoke English well. The lunch, which was included, was not the best we ever had but it was adequate.

This was an excellent trip. Our guide through Pompeii was very knowledgeable and thorough about the whole site. The stop at Naples could have been a little longer, but was appreciated. The set lunch was the low point of the day, but everything else was very enjoyable.
