I enjoyed the trip very much. I would have liked to spend more time in Pompeii, as we were really rushed through and could not even shop for souvenirs, which I regret more as time went on, as I assumed I would find similar items in Rome and could not. The one major disappointment was in Naples Bay. We parked for pictures around the corner, but two minutes away from the famous shot of Vesuvius in the distance with the bay in front. Where we parked you had to take the picture in the opposite direction. That picture should have been the highlight of the trip and we stopped just before it! Absurd! As most people state, you could dump the cameo factory, as they spend too much time there and you can get much better deals on the same quality cameos many other places. The Scenic tour of Naples is actually only to drop off people who are going to Capri, and you don't see much.

A long drive with a stop at a Cameo factory. Always trying to sell you something. The lunch was just ok. Our guide at the ruins made the trip worthwhile.

The coach and the guides were very good. The price was quite expensive, and I thought there should be a reduced price for children

The two hours in Pompeii with out Italian guide was unmissable. His personality, with the passion and knowledge he had about this ancient city will remain with us. The bus trip was fine for people only wanting to spend a day out of Rome and feeling more secure being accompanied, but really I would have preferred to spend time in the Naples museum rather than the lengthy lunch and factory stop. Many thanks, Viator!

The trip was excellent and I highly recommend it. Just remember, you will be on a bus until nine at night, and the trip to Naples is just a drive-by. If you're alright with that, then this is the best way to see Pompeii when you are staying in Rome.

These trips are really down to the tour guide. We were lucky as we got a guy who joined the bus in Napoli. His knowledge was superb. His manner was fantastic and he was great fun. Add on top of this that he was 81, from Napoli, and you get the picture. Anyway, he gave a great walking tour of Pompeii and a great insight into Napoli on the bus. Our first guide who took us from Rome to Napoli was average, not very exciting either. But in fairness to her she knew her stuff. The bus stops at an extremely expensive coach stop half way down to Napoli which is a pain in the butt. Also, you are told not to eat on the bus. However, sit down in the back and munch away! Be careful to ensure that the bus drops you back to your hotel as per booking agreement or at least in the general area of your hotel as we were almost dumped at the tour bus office and told to take the shuttle to the Crowne Plaza. After all it's not cheap. It is a very good tour though, just remember not to be pushed around.

Everything was beautiful and well done. Some areas for improvement would be a separate tour guide for each language and more time by the seashore in Naples.

Great tour and guides. The lunch could have been better. But tour was outstanding, especially for the cost. Boost the cost up a little more for a better lunch.

Excellent tour. It was a bit short on Naples, but we loved Pompeii, and we were fortunate to have a great guide.

Pompeii is a great place to see, and taking a tour just seemed convenient. However, the tour could have been much much better. Food was on the cheap side, with spaghetti and bottled marinara sauce as the main course. Also, we were made to stop at a coral-cameo factory shop which was very unnecessary since the prices are exorbitant. It looks like the guides had a commission if the tourists bought something there.

The Pompeii tour was more than I could have expected. The guide was great and we were able to see and have explained some pretty amazing things. The bus tour of Naples was fine.

Very accommodating. We had a special requests that was taken care of. Our tour guide for Pompeii was awesome. Lunch was not that great, we had a measly dish while the tour guides and bus driver in the back of the restaurant had a ribeye steak and fresh fruit etc.

We probably could have spent a couple of days going through Pompeii, and I don't know that we would have gone to Naples on our own, so it was an added bonus.

Pompeii is amazing, but Napoli and the coral cameo shop is not worth the effort. It would be great to just do Pompeii without the add ons.
