A good experience, not to be missed!

The day trip was a full day, with long-ish coach drives both there and back. This was no problem, though, as the 'stops' were adequate. Our guide for Pompeii was excellent - a gentleman and scholar who enjoyed imparting his considerable knowledge. The only downside was that the quality of the lunch offered was disappointing, although the service was polite and keen to please.

Excellent tour of Pompeii. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we were taken to the most interesting areas of the site. A great way to see Pompeii in one day.

This was a terrific tour. The tour leader was extremely knowledgeable with many interesting facts to share. We were lucky because the day was not as hot as expected and there was a nice breeze. The included lunch was delicious. And I was pleasantly surprised that I was both picked up from and delivered back to my hotel in Trastevere.

Naples was not impressive and I was glad to see it only for a short visit. Pompeii was great, and one day is not enough to fully appreciate it.

Loved this tour. Really interesting, good to have a guide because I think you could walk around Pompeii looking at the same thing if you didn't have somebody to take you to the interesting sections. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting.

We had an absolutely wonderful time and thought that it was done extremely well. We had plenty of time to wander around and take photos. We had a fantastic day and would recommend Viator to anyone. We did 2 Viator tours, and both were extremely good value for money.

Awesome and enlightening trip. The guide was a lovely and charming, very professional woman who was fluent in English. I was lucky to have very nice fellow adventurers to share this experience with. A good way to see the remarkable countryside and learn a little history as well.

Very nice trip with a very interesting guide in Pompeii. I would like to suggest considering a nonstop trip to Naples and use the extra time for an hour break around Naples bay. Also, perhaps a better choice of restaurant for lunch, with of course an adjustment in the trip price. All in all, it was an excellent trip, and we will recommend it to anyone going to Rome.

The trip is very interesting and highly recommended when you are in Rome. You are able to see some of the Italian countryside on your way and have a quick visit to Naples, but most of all you can "meet" the history of Pompeii face to face. The only disadvantage of the trip was that we had to wait 40 minutes to be picked up from the hotel since they provided the wrong address to the driver. Also the trip to the cameos factory could have been skipped. But overall, a great experience!
