Our guide was excellent, and helped us navigate the intense crowds at the Vatican security checkpoint, as well as demystify the papal general audience, much of which was conducted in foreign languages. Our guide was enthusiastic, approachable and very knowledgeable. Best of all he knew exactly where to position us so we could take great pictures and really see Pope Francis. I would not attempt this without a tour -- worth every penny.
It was great. We were two feet from the Pope! Our guide was so so helpful and knowledgeable. This is our second time with Viatour. They are the best ever.
Our tour guide was very good. She kept track of us, got us into our seats and then told the history around the Vatican.
Beautiful experience. Our guide looked for the best place and we saw the Pope very close to us.
This was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Thanks to our guide who placed us within a few feet of Papa.
Fantastic tour. Our guide had all the tips for getting us on the fence so that we were as close to the Pope as we could be. She kept us entertained for the hour wait with plenty of information about the vatican and the current and past Popes.
Our tour guide was wonderful! She got us terrific seats, was very knowledgeable, we were extremely pleased.
You can, if you want, get tickets for these Wednesday morning events for free - but I preferred to arrange this so the guide could give us some background and find the group good seats, which she did: we were next to the route the pope-mobile took, so got to see the pope twice - once in each direction. The day we were there was the 34th anniversary of the attempted murder of Pope John Paul II so security was tight and twitchy, and the gates opened early and the police shut off the square I think usually the guided tour would be longer. But I was very happy with this and got great photos of the Pope.
SO AWESOME. Gigi, our guide, was entertaining funny and got us all great seats that the Pope even stopped in front of us for a good 1 minute! We loved the whole experience and even if the ticket was free, I would pay again to listen to Gigi talk about the Vatican and the Papacy. :
well organized tour with good presentation. The leader had chosen the best possible seats, and entertained the group with detailed talk about Vatican. well done.
The tour guide was very informative, but we had some problem understanding his words.

Our guide was wonderful - she made sure we got good seats, had a vibrant and warm personality, and provided many interesting historical details. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
The guide was such a big help figuring out where to go. Using Viator was well worth it. It took out the stress of figuring out what to do and where to go. What a great experience!!
This was a definite good move! There is no cost to attend the Pope's weekly blessing, however trying to get a seat with thousands of people in attendance is very difficult. The best way to go is to book this type of tour. Our guide, Francesca, was fabulous! She got us seats that were literally right next to the road that the Pope uses to enter the plaza. While waiting for the blessing to start, she gave us so much information on the history of the Vatican and made this once in a lifetime event so easy and comfortable. A definite must when visiting Rome.
Our guide did an amazing job of navigating through the crowd and getting amazing seats! She was also very entertaining while we were waiting for the Pope to appear. One of the highlights of our two week visit to Italy.
this tour is a bit pricey, but seeing the Pope personally....priceless!!!!
our tour guide was excellent.
Tour guide Gabriella was Excellent. We were very close to the pope and saw him from a 4-5 foot distance. This tour is totally worth it.
This tour was fabulous and worth every penny. We were right in front of Pope Francis as he drove by, in the first row in section 2. Our guide, Flamina, was fantastic and she worked hard to get us right up front. I loved it!
Lori our tour guide was great and positioned us perfectly to see Pope Francis.
