It totally met out expectations! Very good seats, our guide was excellent. We highly recommend this ! It's worth it !
This tour was the highlight of our Italian holiday. Our guide Angelica was brilliant and provided commentary on the history of the Vatican City as we lined up to get our seats. The lining up was a bit scary, but once passed the checkpoint all was fine. Angelica helped us obtain excellent seats and we saw the Pope as close as about 10 metres away twice as he drove around before the service. One tip, arrive as early as possible well before required as everyone in the group can line up once everyone is there. This was a special day.
Despite a rainy day, our papal audience gave us the chance to see Pope Francis in person up close
for the first time. Our guide prepared us for the arrival of the Pope, and his cardinals, by going over lots of Vatican history, whilst we waited for the event to begin.
Our seats allowed us to be at least six feet from the Pope when he toured Vatican Square in his
little Popemobile. He waved to us as he went by. It was very emotional for everyone around us.
Definitely an event not to be missed, but only takes place on Wednesday, in all weathers.
Good value for money, and an unforgetable once in a lifetime experience.
The trip was amazing thanks to our wonderful guide Dario. He was full of fantastic information and looked after us extremely well, getting us fabulous seats and being extremely cheerful.
Our experience was AWESOME! Not only was it a glorious day with sunny blue sky, our guide Agostina or "Nina" was wonderful. She was able to get us the best seats to see Pope Francis up close. Nina was also very knowledgeable of the history in papacy, the vatican, and the whole papal audience process.Nina fought her way through the crowds and saved us seats and kept us informed until the Pope arrived. We were grateful for the experience and considered very blessed on this wonderful day. Thank you.
Papal audience was a great experience as we were able to be seated very close to the barricade where the Pope passed by. We were able to take great photos of the Pope. Although we had to sit in full sun for four hours, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend attending the Papal Audience. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Christianity and how best to navigate among the other thousands of persons in attendance.
This is the second time we have used Viator for tours while visiting Rome. Nothing has disappointed us.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel planned tours for our trip to Germany and with one phone call everything was taken care of with consideration and professionalism. I would highly recommend them!!!!
Dark Rome tour guide was great. Well organized amid the frenzy of papal audiences wirh Pope Francis
Really awesome tour and our guide Angelica was fabulous. The tour company was so well organised too. I would highly recommend this tour!
Such a benefit having an experienced guide to help you through the crazy entrance into the square, but more importantly, to help you find the best seats. Whilst it is nice to be 'up the front' for the Audience proper, being back a little is fine - given the video screens and speakers. The real thrill, and this is where the 'best' seats come into their own, is being positioned well when the Pope drives through the square. I was no more than 3 metres from the Pope, thanks too our guide. A great day, and great commentary from our guide as we waited for the Audience to begin.
Daniel was our guide. We loved him! Got us through the crowd into seats. Gave us lot of info on the Papal Audience and the Vatican. He answered a lot of our questions - we kept him busy! We highly recommend him as a guide for this and any other tours he conducts.
Wish people were not allowed to stand on chairs. Makes seeing the Pope difficult but the big TV screens were helpful. Quite a day for the five of us - one we will long remember!
Easy to find meeting place. Still lots of crowds and a short "pushy" line of people entering St. Peter's Square. We had wonderful seats and Pope Francis was quite visible while in his "Pope Mobil" from where we were positioned. Good, knowledgeable guide.
Our guide Anna was very friendly and knowledgeable, and very adept at getting us to our seats on a day when even she thought the size of the crowd seemed exceptional. Once she had got us to our seats she then gave us a very interesting talk about the history of The Vatican and Popes. The experience of the Papal Audience was something we will never forget. The enthusiasm of the crowd when Pope Francis came into the Square was heart-warming and from our seats he passed us within about four metres. We would thoroughly recommend this tour.
