We were in the trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius in the end of October. The trip was well organised, the guides were excellence and they even organised a good weather! The only minus was that we didn't have very much time in Vesuvius. We could have spent hours there.

From beginning to end an all round superb experience. I would recommend this trip to anyone. The guides were informative and witty. Pompeii was awe inspiring (would have liked a little more time to wander around freely) Vesuvius was well worth the slightly taxing walk (I am 50 years old and unfit) but managed the climb with only 1 breath stop! I believe the price to be excellent value for a one off wonderful day out. I f I had to point out a negative it would be the food stop, there was a 30/40 minute wait for the food and when served I found it to be below the standard of any cheap pizza eaterie. Take this tour, you will not be disappointed!!!!!

The tour leaders were excellent: bubbly, funny and efficient. We stopped along the way for coffee and a comfort break. The Pompeii tour was excellent. The local guide was funny, pleasant and knowledgeable. Everything ran on schedule. We were taken back to Rome in a timely fashion. I higly recommend this tour. My only constructive criticism is regarding the lunch. It was just OK, nothing great. I have had better pizza and the salad, for an American, was way too oily. No vinegar at all. I would recommend an upgraded lunch,.

Amazing doesn't even start to describe this trip. We had a fantastic day in Pompeii along with a great lunch and then a stroll up to Mt Vesuvis. Our guide, Roberto, was so knowledgable and wonderful. This is a must!

This for me this was the best tour I did in Italy. To be able to see how the Romans used to live was like going back in time. The trip is like 4 hours round trip. You spend like 2 hours at Pompeii; but it goes very fast because the city is so well preserved that you can see the houses; the roads; the theaters, the temples, etc. Then you go to a museum and spent around 1:30 hours; which was also very good; you will find paintings and sculptures from Pompeii.

This was wonderful. Not so sure about the walk to the top of the volcano.

Great day, informative and fun. The climb up Versuvius was the highlight of my trip. I really did not think I would make it - but it was so wonderful to get to the top. A hard 20 mins walk. Buy your souviners at the shops at the bottom though - twice the price at the top!

I would strongly recommend this trip with only marginal reservations. The schedule was about right - it did not try to pack in too much but neither was it too superficial. The guides were both excellent - personable but knowledgable. The journey was as comfortable as could be expected with an excellent driver. We were less taken with the stop-overs at a cheesy tourist cafe/gift shop and the inclusive meal was slightly perfunctory but all in all this was a memorable day in our lives.

Really good trip with a great guide, full of information and enthusiasm. The day was busy with it starting at 7am and finishing at 8:30pm with a leisurely lunch in between. We had an hour on volcano, longer would have felt less rushed and 2 hours in Pompeii with a guided tour. Overall a great day trip!!
