Inside of a house in ancient Pompeii showing the fresco's on the wall.
Me, my daughter and cousin are all smiles as we learn more and more about the city of Pompeii...and this is after climbing Mt. Vesuvius. What a GREAT day it was!!!
At the end of our tour, the Guide finishing up. Looking back to where we had just come from. We had negotiated a loop so didn't double up on anything. Amazingly all excavations are done by hand shovel and wheel barrow. An astonishingly well-preserved example of the Roman empire.
Our group stops at one spot to listen to an explanation of the area and its usage in ancient times. One of the highlights of Willy's descriptions was his use of question and answer technique to have the member sod the group suggest or draw upon their knowledge to share. He added humour too. :-)
Our tour guide in Pompeii was Willy. He was knowledgeable, and enthralling, and entertaining on the history and significance of the many artefacts and preservation of this amazing place. His humour and engagement of the group made this a great experience.
