Expensive but worth it. As you only have a specific 2 hour time slot in this Gallery having a private guide take you to (and talk about) all the art you are interested in makes a big difference. Our guide, Maria Ludovica, was very good.

Excellent guide who really knew his stuff. This is well worth the money and I recommend this service to anyone interested in a detailed tour by someone who is well educated and speaks perfect English. We thought we were pretty knowledgable but he made us aware of details we would have missed.

Our visit to Borghese was wonderful. Our guide was excellent. I don't know how we would have seen so much of the gallery with only having two hour if we had not had a guide.

This is what the money is for. Splurge on a personal tour - you won't regret it. Skipping the security line in particular. You know you are a VIP when the staff are personal friends of your guide and treat her clients accordingly. Our guide was a PhD in art history, really insightful commentary on these renowned treasures. Unforgettable experience!
