Brilliant. Extremely interesting and informative. Very well done.
Great tour guides which definitely shared their enthusiasm with the group. Also, much side information was given, so not only about the book or movie, but also relevant information about the churches and places we were about to visit. The guides also told us what was right about the books and about what Dan Brown was sometimes very wrong. Highly entertaining if you are a fan of either the book or the movie!
It was the BEST. The tour included bits about history as well as about Angels and Demons. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it.
Excellent tour! I recommend this tour to anyone interested in having fun and seeing some of the sights you may not normally see. Roberto and Massimo were fantastic guides! Very knowledgeable and entertaining! Thanks for making our first day in Rome a very memorable one!
Everything positive the other reviewers said - I agree completely! We had Roberto as our guide on 7/24/2015, and he is THE BEST! He made the tour extremely exciting, engaging, and captivating. Even if you haven't read the book, or it's been awhile, he summed it up at every location we went to. The bus ride and soda break were added bonuses. There was quite a bit of walking, especially at the end, but he gave us ample breaks. Most everyone on the tour said it was the best tour they had taken - not just of Rome but even in Europe. Can't recommend this one enough - especially if it's with Roberto!
This was a very interesting tour that walked you through the art and history in the fictional world of Dan Brown. Our tour guide was amazing and so engaging! My only suggestion would be to bring a snack this is a long tour.
Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy - Roberto was very passionate and entertaining and made it an experience and not just a tour. Best tour of our trip, closely followed by the tour we took run by another local tour company.
The guides Roberto and Mike were excellent and I highly recommend this tour!
A different kind of tour with a great tour guide. Full day of fun recreating the book and background. Highly recommend.
If you liked either the novel or the movie, you will really enjoy this tour. If you are not familiar with the book, you will STILL ENJOY this tour. Roberto was a fantastic storyteller and guide! Enthusiastic and engaging right from the start, the wealth of knowledge about all of the Roman sights and Dan Brown's stories was impressive. Four hours passed by very quickly and we were just as excited at the end of the tour as we were at the beginning. The combination of walking and bus travel made for a nice balance and even when combined with the other guide, Massimo, and his group, it still had a personal feel. One of our favorite tours while in Rome, we give it our highest recommendation.
FANTASTIC tour! We could not have asked for a better tour guide than Robert, who brought the words of the book to life. If you book this tour, hope for Robert as your guide - you won't be disappointed.
This tour was FANTASTIC. The guides were very knowledgable not only of the book but of general history of the region. Massimo and Robert left us laughing and far more knowledgable. My wife and would recommend them highly!
My family's favorite tour of our trip. The guide Peter was amazing - so well informed and entertaining. People will enjoy this even if they haven't read the book or seen the movie!
WHAT A FANTASTIC TOUR!
If you have read the book by Dan Brown, this tour is a MUST! It is still worth doing if you have just seen the film as the key locations set in Rome are the same in both book and film. Roberto, our guide was passionate about the book and had so much information to tell us about Rome, the book and the Vatican. From start to finish we both were totally enthrawled with his re-enactment of the story and the details behind the architecture, statues, sculptors, author, fincional characters, religion etc etc. It was probably the best city tour we have EVER done, and we have done a lot!
There were more in the party than we were expecting but the company had been let down by another guide so two groups had to be merged into one. But it did not cause us any problems as we were able to hear everything Roberto had to say, had plenty of time and opportunity for photo's even on a SUnday! and even when we stopped for refreshments, it did not take too long for us all to be served. You don't walk all the way, a coach is laid on to get you between the initial locations and then you walk from Palazzo Navana to Castel san Angelo.
You visit some wonderful churches that are not on the main tourist route and they are beautiful. We have never been inside Castel san Angelo so this was a pleasant visit and the views from the top are magnificent.
All I can add is great, great, GREAT!!!
Robert was excellent in bringing to life the history and the book! No need to have read the book to thoroughly enjoy this tour, the best tour in Rome bar none. Robert is a truly awesome story teller and historian. Tour is good mix of air conditioned bus transportation and walking.
Roberto is an excellent guide. he brought the book to life! AND provided so much historical information about the Vatican, churches, sculptures, artists... I highly recommend!
The tour was amazing!!! I highly recommend getting Roberto as your guide he is fantastic!!!!!
Next time you visit Rome, make sure to experience Angels and Demons tour. You dont need to read the book or watch the movie as long as you have Robert as your tour guide, you will absolutely have an amazing memories of Rome, and the story of Angels and Demons itself. You rock, Robert!
Roberto our guide made the tour. He was enthusastic and knowledgeable and brought the whole tour to life.
It would be helpful however if in the description it was made clear that we would be taking a bus for most of the trip because we were thinking it involved a lot of walking.
