Great tour! A good tool to get the lay of the land and to use as transportation to the sites you want to see. Spent 3 days in Rome and used the bus multiple times.
We bought the 48hour all inclusive skip the line ticket...Well Worth it!! We only had 3 days and this was the perfect way to see everything! Plus with the earphones and tapes we learned about the sights as well. We were there during the busy season, but there was always a bus whenever we went to the stops! And there was room even on the top tier which was our preference! Also saw lots of longs lines for the Coloseum and Sistene Chapel But with the Skip the Lines ticket we walked right in!!! Great way to go!!
A perfect way to see the main sights of Rome in comfort and at any time of the day. The only improvement I'd suggest is that the buses run in opposite directions rather than clockwise only as it can make journey time (eg to Vatican City from Termini) longer than necessary
We took a 48 hour deal and used the two days to hop on and off as suited us. The bus stop was right outside our hotel, so what could be more suitable?
This worked really well. If you're not familiar with the city - maybe it's your first time visiting - the Hop/On and Hop/Off bus is a great way to see fabulous Rome. It also works well because you end up walking everywhere and it's just nice to sit for a bit.
Quite an amazing experience. Best way to get your bearings around Rome before plunging into the burgeoning mass of historical monuments, churches and restaurants. Highly recommended.
Perfect way to tour the city especially for those who have problems with long walking. Buses were aplenty. If you missed one, the next one comes shortly after. The tour operator had staff spread all over the city to answer questions and provide directions. I highly recommend this tour.
Excellent idea - 2 days is a must to have time to visit the places of interest. Open top section not recommended in the hot summer!!!
Highly recommended!! The bus drivers and guides were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I would select this tour again in the future.
Roma, Italy is a beautiful place to visit and it is a place of wonders as it has full of history itself! The Vatican City is a must and the Colosseum as well!
A great way to get your bearings in a new city!!! Definitely worthwhile!!!
We booked the hop on tour for three days and it was great as it got us to all the places we wanted to go. We never used the metro once on our week long holiday.
Well worth doing it gave us a good inside to the interesting sites
This was a one day trip and it was all that I needed. It took me to the places that I wanted to go.
I used this bus for two days to see many sites around Rome. I stayed at a hotel near Termini Station
and was able to board the bus each morning at its first stop, near the hotel. The commentary is available in eight languages which you access with the provided headset. One of the cheapest methods to see Rome, and you can stay at the sites as long as you want, then board the bus again when you are ready.
Absolutely the best way to get to know any city in short period of time and to move around too. Especially in Rome... Subway is there, but in a city where you are about 90 likely to find something the moment you start digging, it is impossible to expect flawless subway. Hop-on-hop-off is perfect way to go around city core.
