very friendly and fun guide. Learned about the local area which is off the beaten path. Tried many types of pizza at small places that we would not have experienced without the tour. The food was good and plentiful. Nobody left hungry for sure.
Fabio, was Fabulous. Great tour and such genuine interest and passion that he over ran by over 90 minutes! great tour and you see so much more than just pizza, real history and real local people. Fantastic
Our tour guide, Giovanna (or Big Mama G as she called herself!) was the best! Not only was she funny, she was one smart little biscotti! We ate great pizza, sampled cheese. olives, Limoncello and of course gelato! We also visited the Basilica of Santa Mara Maggore. History, fun facts and food-it was great!
Without question, this was our favorite activity during our 4-day stay in Rome! Our guide was superb and very knowledgable about Roman history, and, of course, pizza history. We learned a lot from her, had many laughs, had a delightful walking tour near Trajan's Market and through Santa Maria Maggiore Church, and ate lots and lots of pizza and gelato. Very interesting to learn about, and eat, the different types of genuine Italian pizza. A great walking feast right at lunch time. Do this one.
Tour was really good. Guide was extremely knowledgeable about pizza and I went to the tour hungry and came back full from so much good pizza.
Marco was charismatic and obviously loved in the Monti neighborhood that we toured during this delicious and entertaining tour. Marco made sure to add historical facts to the tour, cooking tips, and this was the only time we experienced a real neighborhood (same place where Gladiators, etc. use to live centuries ago) without a crowd of tourists. Our group came together in discussion, due to the expertise of our guide. It was alot of fun and we are looking forward to trying the pizza recipe provided at the end of tour.
GREAT private tour for my husband and me on our last day in Rome. Despite the rain we fun, and the food and itinerary were excellent: historical and rewarding. This tour is A+!!
This tour was on my Top List. Our tour guide "Big Mama G---Joanna was the BEST!!! She made it so fun and she gave us a glimpse of real family life in Rome. She took us all over eating different kinds of pizza, gelato/granita, chinook, limoncello.........etc. This tour is a must!
We were so thrilled that this tour combined eating and sight seeing. Since we were only in Rome for 2 days during our honeymoon, this was a great way to make our trip fun and efficient. The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps were all under construction during our trip in Sept 2014 so we were not disappointed when we settled for this option which was more intimate and less touristy. We were in a group with 5 other people and our tour guide was very nice. We went to 3 pizza places, one meat and cheese shop, and one gelato stop. The way it was organized and spaced out was great. Wear comfy shoes! Ladies, you must bring a wrap to cover your shoulders to go into the church and wear something down to your knees. I wore a maxi dress with flip flops and brought a wrap in my purse... worked out perfect! Bring a bottle of water for walking around if the public fountains creep you out!
This was a fantastic couple of hours walking through the ancient cobblestone streets of Rome, tasting lots of different pizzas, very informative, great fun and a must to do for something different. many thanks

Excellent tour for adults and children alike. There was enough pizza for everyone and enough history to keep the adults interested. Barbara was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable. She's great! Included a trip to St. Mary's Basilica and gelato.
If you love Pizza and want to know more about how Pizza is made in Rome this is a tour for you.
We visited five locations and learned much about how Pizza are made and sold in Rome. Not only was this a tasting but and educational tour at the same time. Our Tour guide was fantastic. Note: This tour is only done in small groups. Negative: If you have any walking disabilities I do not recommend this tour.
