This is a relatively new tour. We wanted to try something a little different and off the tourist tack and this ticked all the boxes. Make sure you start off with an empty stomach as there is a lot of food to taste and of course the most delicious pizza at the end. We wandered through small narrow streets away from the noise and hub of the city. Visited small stores that the locals visit and tasted assorted meats and different types of mozzarella. If you want to see more of how the locals live this is the tour for you. Plenty of walking as well but at an easy pace. Enjoy
If you are looking for a great mix of culture, history and food this is the tour for you. The pizza was yummy but the tour guide was first class with his local knowledge.
Our tour guide, Fabio, gave us a look of Rome as locals. We learned the history of the neighborhood and enjoyed learning about pizza, italian sodas, beer, cheese and prosciutto. It was one of the best tours.
Great food AND tour guide was an archeologist, so gots lots of information on Ancient Rome from BC to recent past. Besides various types of pizza, also got to experience some food items (soda drinks, etc) unique to Italy.
