It was OK, but could have been better

The meal was OK, but the number of places in Rome that could be seen from the river was small. That was disappointing and not what we expected based on the description.

The food was unspectacular and drinks were expensive. The "cruise" just paced back and forth along an area about half a mile long without much to look at. Maybe we were hoping for too much, but it failed to produce the romantic mood we expected when we booked it.

The cruise was fine, food was not great, the wine was expensive and not included in dinner.

We were somewhat disappointed in the size of the boat and the available views. The food was adequate - nothing special. Service was attentive. Lighting - too bright! The cabin of the boat was quite warm and we were asked not to open windows! The boat was old and the seating uncomfortable. Would never repeat or recommend.

Food was only average. It was very hot on the boat and they didn't open any windows to help circulate the air. However the wine was good and was at a pretty fair price. We did not see any lights or buildings by going up the river. It was dark most of the way. However, the last 15 minutes of the cruise they went downriver and it was beautiful. Unfortunately, they kept the lights on inside the boat for most of the cruise so you couldn't see anything outside anyway. A disappointment.

Personally I thought this was a complete waste of time! It maybe just because I've been spoilt in that I've done one of these trips in Paris going down the River Seine and the way this one was written up I assumed it was set to be a carbon copy, but it was far from it. The boat itself was like a shed on top of a canoe, which you were crammed into and the food was like something you'd get for your school dinner, one course of which I refused to even eat! It was even presented in such way that you were felt to think yourself lucky you got even that. For the price it cost, they even had the cheek to charge you for an additional drink, if per chance you finished the glass of vinegar that you were given for wine. It also said in the ad that there would be a singer, but I saw no evidence of this, but then I'm glad about that as I think it would have just made it worse. It was actually my intention to propose to my girlfriend on this trip, but I just couldn't get off quickly enough as the setting was so awful and there was no way I was going to tarnish something as wonderful as a proposal on a tacky trip such as this.

The boat isn't up to much, the food wasn't much better, the river was in almost complete darkness so there is nothing to see.

No view at all. So-so food. Way too expensive for the value.

Expected a romantic cruise with great views. Because it was so cold outside, the windows were fogged and didn't get to see anything. The food was flavorless and cold. The only redeeming item was cake for dessert and having a clean bathroom on board.

There were only bridges to see in the dark. With two taxi rides to get to the meet point it was expensive, noisy onboard and just OK food.

Food was not to usual Italian standard. That stretch of the Tiber was perhaps not the best for views. The boat was also much smaller than I'd been led to expect.

The food was barely good enough to eat, and was not that cheap. The wine would not be included. Everything was crowded and not good at all! I was very disappointed, that was my anniversary gift to my husband and I felt it was a flop!

This was a tourist trap. They ran out of water about halfway through the customers, so 12 the people didn't get the water that was promised. I'm not a picky eater and generally like any kind of food, but even I couldn't eat this stuff. The food was obviously reheated. There was cabbage salad in vinegar dressing with some sort of egg muffin. The pasta was OK but overcooked, and then the meat course was something like sandwich turkey with peas hidden inside. Very questionable. Even the dessert was awful...and I love desserts!

Couldn't see anything - food not great & drinks expensive!

The cruise was awful! It was on an old boat. The windows were so tinted that we couldn't take a picture. There was no deck to walk out on and enjoy the view. And the food...awful. It was nothing but cheap seafood, I thought we would at least get come sort of choice of food. Oh, and the aperitifs - they were potato chips and olives!
