Our tour guide was exceptional. Very thorough insights and explanations on the sites. She even helped us by escorting us to the bus stop on our way home!
The tour guides were on time and very well informed about the history and background on both tours. We really enjoyed this tour.
Fantastic tour! Our guide, Sarah N. was amazing. She has a PhD. in Roman archaeology and boy does she know her stuff! We were in a large group, and she did well managing the crowd and keeping us all together. She answered all of our questions with ease and gave us great insights about all the history, drama and scandal of the Roman empire. I would do this again a thousand times over!
We actually did both the morning and afternoon walking tour and it was almost too much to do in one day. I would certainly do one each day then spend time just wandering through the city. Both of our guides were very knowledgable and were very helpful in providing information regarding questions and concerns. My only issue was the end of the afternoon/evening tour was so far away from our hotel that we ended up having to take a cab back instead of using the metro or cheaper transport. Be sure to do your homework regarding accomodations!!!
This was a great tour with a knowledgeable guide who brought things to life. There are some steep uneven steps to climb at times so if you are unsteady on your feet this might not be suitable for you.
An unforgettable experience! We had a fabulous guide and I am so sorry I can't remember her name - she made our tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum 'come alive' with her knowledge and enthusiasm. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. In the afternoon we went on the 'Best of Rome Walking Tour' and it does just what it says - again, our guide was friendly/informative and it was a really 'fun' afternoon. Well Done Viator!
Great way to see the highlights of Rome in a condensed amount of time. Our two guides morning and afternoon were wonderful. Not only did they know their subject, but they were very personable. If doing both tours, I strongly recommend you wear good walking shoes and take advantage of the break in between by sitting in a cafe for a leisurely meal.
Meeting points were easy to find. The outstanding part was the knowledge of our tour guides.Their knowledge was outstanding and the way that they shared this knowledge with their groups was excellent.
The tour was excellent and both the tour guides Elisabeth and Maura were excellent
Each tour was excellent, but doing both on the same day is a bit ambitious and tiring.
So good having a guide to explain everything to you. Much better way than trying to do it yourself.
Great organization of the group meeting at metro station. We were divided into multiple groups for tours and our guide was excellent. He had such great knowledge of the history to tell us. Great time. Afternoon tour with different guide but she was just as knowledgeable and informative.
Two excellent tours, but we found these two tours in the same day to be tiring. Our tour guide was really excellent, conveying lots of great information. Be prepared for lots of walking through densely crowded areas. I expect there's no way to avoid the congested streets, however. These tours are an essential part of any Rome visit.
What a great tour! The morning was so interesting with the Coliseum, Roman Forum and Paletine Hill. I don't think we would have learned as much on our own. The afternoon was just as interesting walking through the street of Rome and learning about the different sites. I highly recommend it. It was a long day so wear comfortable shoes!
Our Favourite Tour in Rome! A must do folks. The Colosseum morning part is the perfect length of time and you get a nice 3 hour break before the afternoon walking tour portion to grab a bite to eat or a little shopping. The Pantheon is my absolute favourite architectural structure in all of Rome!
Colosseum, palantine hill, the roman forum and an afternoon walk - queues were basically non-existant especially with queue jump priority. Def recommend this tour, especially the morning. it is a lot of walking so make sure you have comortable shoes.
Perfect way to understand ancient Rome. Our guide made it even more interesting since she was an archeologist.
Great tour . The guides were excellent . Thanks Damiano and Fabio .
A very good introduction to the main attractions in Rome for first time visitors like us. We only had 2 precious days in Rome so this was a good way to see almost everything quickly. We had 2 guides, one for the morning part which introduced us to the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill, and one for the afternoon tour which showed us the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc. Sadly, the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps were closed for cleaning but we still got to see them, although from a small distance. Our afternoon guide was excellent think her name was Eakatrina - not sure about the spelling. She was lively, bubbly and very knowledgeable and kept all of us interested and alert right up to the end. Highly recommend this for anyone who's visiting for the first time and wants a good overview of the major spots.
Excellent afternoon tour with an informative guide! We loved the insider view of the colloseum and it was great to be able to skip the line. We will definitely use viator for future trips.
