Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Rome Super Saver: Colosseum and Ancient Rome with Best of Rome Afternoon Walking Tour. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
If you only take one tour in Rome, this should be it. You see the most amazing sites - the Colisseum and the Forum, the Trevi fountain etc. You walk on the same stones the Romans did 2000 years ago; you see where the gladiators fought, you see ancient architecture that is still standing! It's a lot of walking, but it's a slow pace, and you learn so much about each site. We had lots of time to take pictures and rest for a couple of minutes if necessary. I highly recommend this tour.
Both of these tours were absolutely outstanding! Both our guides, Patrizia and Nina aka Mama Bear are archaeologists. They were extremely knowledgeable, thorough, well organized, and always had our comfort and safety in mind.
Very organised guide made sure we all enjoyed experience. Learnt so much and information made place far more interesting.
We had very exelent guide, she known the history very well and it was very good tour. Tour was exelent and intresting. The most of all we liked the first part of tour in Coliseum and Roman Forum. I highly recommend this tour as it is intresting and most of all due to skip the line option.
Also the second part of tour was very nice and we enjoyed it. Giudes are speeking Eanglish very well and are very helpfull and kind.
Excellent tour! Very friendly and informed guides. Lots of walking but the pace is comfortable. It poured rain the day we went. We were prepared with ponchos and umbrellas. Plan for any weather because the guides never miss a beat! Awesome tour even with the rain!
This tour starts with a tour of the Colosseum. You are given a head set and earphones which usually find hard to hear and less personal as guide will often not even face the group when they talk and I usually miss out on a lot of information.
However in this tour the guide stops the group at several points long the way before speaking to the group which I found quite nice. The guide gives you full history on the Colosseum from its fast contraction to its uses over the years which is really insightful and enjoyable.
You spend around and hour at the Colosseum before moving on to the Ancient ruins of Rome which included information on it's history, discovery and uses over time.
This tour moves at a steady pace and is loaded with entertaining information with a clear to understand and knowledgable guide. Groups size is around 20. I would recommend is this tour for people of all ages.
Excellent tour if you have one day to cover all major attractions in Rome, not including the Vatican.
We like Agostina in the afternoon part, she's excellent!
We had two tour guides; Irene in the morning and Nina in the afternoon they were both amazing, gave us lots of information and were interested and passionate about what they were doing. They made the day special for us and we had a fantastic time. Definitely be recommending this tour to others.
This was one of the best you'd we have been on with do much background in the ancient Romans in the morning and a fast forward to the famous sculptors and locations in the afternoon. The midday cafe stop was a pleasant suprise with dark Rome footing the bill. The headphones were a big plus as you wa
