The pace was good, and the guide was both amusing and well-informed.

The walking tour of Rome was a great introduction to the city and overview of the main sights. Doing it at night added extra charm. Our guide, was knowledgeable, a Ph.D. in archeology, and charming. We actually ended up missing our tour time because of delayed flights, but the company with whom the Viator tour was booked was happy to reschedule for the following evening. The only annoying thing was having to confirm the reservation the day before when we were traveling.

We had an interesting guide who was able to answer any question.

A first class tour given by a first class guide, very knowledgeable and very considerate of the walkers.

The guide did go into too much detail on occasion. But that is a small quibble.

Walking in Rome at dusk and into the night is a must for anyone who wants to see the beauty of Rome's buildings, fountains and more, encased within the shadows of the setting sun. Our guide had a little problem in the Piazza Navona because our audio devices were not working properly, and we needed to move around the piazza more to see the wonders of its beauty. We overcame that with laughter and a brisk walk to our next site. Wear your good walking shoes, ask lots of questions, and be prepared for a romantic look at Rome. We will be back, our experience was well worth the time and money to hear the wonderful stories of Rome and its many sites. As we approached Trevi Fountain, the lights were just coming on and my camera took the most amazing shots of this surprising site filled with soft yellow light against the stone of the fountain. I wanted more, more, more! Take the tour and enjoy!

This was good, but if you do the Ancient Rome and Colosseum Tour, don't bother with this. Buy a guide to Rome and guide yourself around.

We felt that the tour guide presumed that we knew a certain amount of information regarding the sites. It was also a little difficult to understand her.

This tour was kind of boring, but at least I still got to see some great sights. I couldn't hear the tour guide very well.

It is a small group, about 11 of us, but without earphones or a microphone, it was very difficult to hear the guide clearly outdoors. The guide had a strong accent, but he was quite nice and friendly.

This is a great idea and covers the main sights except for the Spanish Steps, but our tour guide was very soft-spoken, and we could not hear him. Others on the tour had the same problem, and when we asked him to speak up, he just told us to come closer. He was very knowledgeable, but unless you were standing right next to him, you could not hear him. It was disappointing, especially in comparison to the tour we took the following day with the same company but a different guide.

We could not hear the guide, therefore left the tour after the first two stops.

Rome is pretty safe at night. Get on a bus, take your time, enjoy the cafes and see it at your own pace.
