This is worth making a trip for--what an eye-opener. We missed our coach in the morning but managed to get a train to Naples and then to Pompeii, and we contacted Viator, who helped us get our coach back to Rome. In Pompeii, we didn't bother paying for a guide; the free book and map are most helpful, and we believed we covered more by not having a guide.

Great, no hassle shuttle service between Rome & Pompeii. Coach was very comfortable and much more cost effective than the train, and there was just enough time to see everything in Pompeii. If you've got a day to spare, I'd thoroughly recommend it. I'm really glad I booked the trip because visiting Pompeii made a fantastic long weekend in Rome that bit more special.

We got a superb guide.I think he is very knowledgeable. Our family is fully satisfied. He is a real dedicated person, and we got a lot of information from him and made the trip without any problem. Thank you. ENJOY ROME.

This was a great way to see Pompeii without having to stay in Naples. We really wanted to see Pompeii but had heard that a tour included too many touristy stop offs so we opted for this option. Once you are at the site you have four hours to wander around and can decide to buy a guidebook or hire a local guide.

A very simple service, just a shuttle ride to Pompeii and back, but this was exactly what we were looking for. We used a guide. My recommendation is to have a conversation with your guide in your native language before you pick him or her. I was too hasty in selecting our guide and he turned out to be very difficult to understand.

It was a great trip. The tour guide was wonderful and a great asset to the trip. He was very friendly and very informative. The driver was a real fun guy too during the rest stops.

Great tour and well organised. Bus itself was very comfortable and there was sufficient time when we stopped at a restaurant/shop. I would definitely recommend going with a guided tour as I used the ear piece type walkmans which are very detailed but I got my own self lost a few times! The tour gives plenty of time between drop off and pick up also so there is plenty of time to potter around Pompeii at a leisurely pace.

The overall trip was great. One negative comment was the stop for breakfast at a motorway service station was chaos. No explanation how to order food, have to queue first for ticket then get food and had 15 minutes for all of this. Better taking your own food.

I loved this tour. My guide was terrific and I was very glad I did not have to stand in the very long line getting into the museums.

It was a great trip. The shuttle was comfortable and the service prompt and pleasant. Pompeii was simply amazing, despite the blasts of spring rain. We had plenty of time to explore the site and grab a bit of lunch. I highly recommend this service to anyone wishing to do Pompeii as a day trip from Rome. The rest stop breaks were quite fun as well.

Extremely good service. Pompeii much larger than expected so was pleased we had 4 hours there. The guide on coach was excellent, it was a great day.
