Great way to see Pompeii when time is limited. Well worth the time. Trip does not include entrance fee of 11 euro. Guide on coach was non-communicative. She pointed out Monte Cassino en route otherwise silence. There was no literature on the coach. Didn't bother me personally but others might expect more given the reviews.

Lovely trip to Pompeii, the good thing is we can have an idependent day. I just wish we had 6 hours to explore the site rather than 4.

It was very easy and comfortable transportation from Rome to Pompeii. The bus hostess was worthless, but I had no expectations for an informed guide. I was NOT happy about the stop at the cameo shop ... did not see that in the trip info online. But the simple transportation and Pompeii itself made the trip worthwhile and enjoyable. Will recommend to others with full disclosure regarding hostess and stop for cameo shop.

We had taken a Pompeii tour through another company years ago. It was much more expensive and gave us a lot less time in Pompeii. I liked this "tour" because it was a direct trip with one small bathroom stop to Pompeii, allowed us plenty of time to see the site, and had a straight return to Rome.

A very nice and informative host. The bus was very comfortable and rest stops were just right. There was plenty of time to tour Pompeii and get some lunch and a snack before departing back to Rome. We felt we received a nice value for the price.

Perfect way to get to Pompeii. Only thing I can add to improve the experience is to add better signage at the pick-up point in Rome and to explain more fully the different gates entry exit points at Pompeii.

The tour departed on time, aboard a new, extremely comfortable touring coach. The driver was excellent and the tour guide, Maria, was polite and unintrusive. The tour delivered transportation to and from with appropriate relief breaks along the way. My only misgiving is that the bus stopped at a commercial souvenir shop and coffee bar in Montecassina on the way back, in view of the mountaintop monastery made famous in World War II, but did not take the extra step of driving a short distance into the town and giving riders a chance to photograph the hilltop monastery.

The trip said what it would do - a pleasant air conditioned coach trip to Pompeii and back again. Plenty of time to explore on our own when we got there, and the queue to enter the site was only about 20 minutes. We did not take up a guide, but if you wanted to do this, there were people available. Entry cost was very reasonable - 11 euros for adults, 5.50 euros for students with proof of student status - NUS card, and free for 18s and under with proof of age - passport. Loos ouside the site charged 0.50. Loos in the site are free and pleasant and clean - and the cafe sells a reasonable selection of food at a reasonable price e.g. pizza with drink and either a savoury side order or a sweet for 7.70 euros. Also, there are fountains in the site where the water is drinkable - just take a plastic bottle to fill. Viatour office was easy to find, and the staff expecting us - could not have been easier. I had read the reviews before going, and taken the decision on the basis of these to go it alone once we got there. There is so much to see, and the site is so big, that this enabled us to take our own time, and make our own way. Really enjoyed it, and would definitely recommend as an easy and assured way of getting to the site. Party consisted 2 adults with 20 year old son, and 17 year old daughter.

We really enjoyed out trip to Pompeii. Our guide - Magda - was very helpful, informative and cute! The bus ride was comfortable and relaxing. Pompeii itself is full of amazing history to discover at every turn. There was plenty of time to see the ruins, shop for some cheesy souvenirs and have a nice lunch. This is definitely a great day trip well worth your time. Thank you Enjoy Rome!
