Great tour and well organised. Bus itself was very comfortable and there was sufficient time when we stopped at a restaurant/shop. I would definitely recommend going with a guided tour as I used the ear piece type walkmans which are very detailed but I got my own self lost a few times! The tour gives plenty of time between drop off and pick up also so there is plenty of time to potter around Pompeii at a leisurely pace.

The overall trip was great. One negative comment was the stop for breakfast at a motorway service station was chaos. No explanation how to order food, have to queue first for ticket then get food and had 15 minutes for all of this. Better taking your own food.

I loved this tour. My guide was terrific and I was very glad I did not have to stand in the very long line getting into the museums.

It was a great trip. The shuttle was comfortable and the service prompt and pleasant. Pompeii was simply amazing, despite the blasts of spring rain. We had plenty of time to explore the site and grab a bit of lunch. I highly recommend this service to anyone wishing to do Pompeii as a day trip from Rome. The rest stop breaks were quite fun as well.

Pompeii is fascinating, and Viator offered an excellent way to get there.

Excellent trip, well worth the 3 hour journey from Rome. Basic but comfortable vehicle, pleasant tour rep.

Extremely good service. Pompeii much larger than expected so was pleased we had 4 hours there. The guide on coach was excellent, it was a great day.

The coach was comfortable and there were sufficient comfort stops, though 15 minutes wasn't really long enough by the time you'd queued. The accompanying person, though not a guide, was helpful and offered to arrange a guide if we wanted. We didn't want one and definitely believe you don't need one. You get a good book and map when you buy your ticket. Pompeii was even more amazing than we expected and a lot bigger. The cafe is lovely, with clean toilets. Don't use the toilets at the entrance they're vile. We'll do the same trip again, next time we're in Rome.

The trip to Pompeii itself was fantastic. We weren't put off by the three-hour bus ride there and back; it gave us time to relax, read and catch up on a bit of sleep. The bus guide was lovely. When we got there, it was difficult to find a guide to take us round. We had been told that there were many at the gates, but we couldn't find one at all. In the end, this was probably better, as we were able to take it all in, walk around at our own pace, and go wherever we decided. Take the guidebook with you; it's a great help. This is a fantastic trip, well worth the money, and we would definitely recommend it.

We thank you for the Pompeii shuttle. We absolutely loved Pompeii. The bus ride was very comfortable. We wished our host was a little more informative. Maybe she could have shared some information about some of the scenic views we passed on our way to Pompeii.

This tour was excellent. The coach was clean and on time. There were major road works on the way to Naples, which reduced the amount of time in Pompeii, but that is unavoidable, I suppose. The attendant was very friendly and handed out some Pompeii guides for reading on the way there, which was a nice surprise as this is just a shuttle bus. It poured with rain in Pompeii, but that didn't diminish the experience. It's well worth a visit.

Pompeii was FANTASTIC! Bigger than I was expecting, we roamed around the maze of streets for ages imaging what life was like there. Perhaps not as many plaster casts of the bodies as I hoped for. That sounds a bit sick but its that morbid fascination that's within us all. If I went back I would have opted for a guide to make sure we saw everything. Bus was nearly an hour late setting off but we still had a good 3-4 hours there, which, in the baking sun was enough.

This was a great trip, but the bus driver was an hour late, and it was hard to communicate with the fellow at the office. Otherwise, it was excellent.

Great, wonderful, terrific. A 'guide' does go on the bus with you, but as expected, there is no commentary, just the shuttle. This made us wonder why she went, it would have been easy enough for her to have thrown in a few words about Pompeii while we were sitting there for three hours.

It was an amazing experience, something that I will always remember. I would advise anyone who has an interest in this era to go to the ruins of Pompeii.
