Taking the bus from Rome was much more comfortable than having to deal with changing trains in the sketchy train station in Naples. Also, this was much better than a guided tour because my last tour of Pompeii from Rome was too short and way more expensive.

The trip from Rome was smooth. When visiting Pompeii you're not traveling back to any given century, or year, or month, or even week. You're stepping back to one day in particular, August 24 of the year 79. All in all it's enough to take your breath away! This trip is MUST for visitor's to Italy!

Enjoyed the trip very much, but disappointed in the lack of information provided by the attendant on the bus. He seemed to spend all his time talking with the drive, in Italian. When we mentioned that we had expected to find books and pertinent information about Pompeii on the bus, he told us that we should have asked for them! We realize this was an express bus and not really an excursion with a talking narrator all the time, but he could have added so much more to a very nice day by putting himself out for his tourists.

The shuttle worked fine for us. We didn't have to deal with changing trains to get from Rome to Pompeii, or worry about missing the last train back. We had enough time to see all the sights we wanted to see in Pompeii. Unlike our tour in Florence through Viator, it only took one call to confirm our reservation.

Enjoyed the trip and the independence. There was plenty of time in Pompeii.
